Terrorists with ISIS have claimed responsibility for a rocket assault on an Egyptian ship that left some crew members injured and sent others jumping overboard to safety.
The Independent reported a spokesman for Egypt's military, Brigadier General Mohammed Samir, confirmed the vessel did catch fire during a firefight with "terrorists" on the shore, but did not specify ISIS.
He also said several crew members were hurt, others jumped overboard to avoid injury, and nobody was killed, the Independent reported.

Meanwhile, a handful of Twitter accounts known to be controlled by ISIS sent out messages saying the group was responsible for the attack. And intelligence officials suggested the attack is believed to have come from terrorists with the Sinai Province of the Islamic State, an Egyptian branch of ISIS.
SITE Intel Group put out a tweet about the incident: "Sinai Province of #ISIS claimed destroying a frigate of the Egyptian Navy in the Mediterranean Sea with a rocket."
