Can you think of a single issue championed by Democrats that has gone largely unaddressed by the GOP congressional leadership regardless of how damaging it is to our nation's viability? Amnesty? Wealth redistribution through social engineering and welfare? Global corporate welfare through the Export-Import Bank? Black riots and racial reconciliation? The VA scandal? Ceding congressional powers outlined in our Constitution to the first black president? Many presume our leadership is simply spineless. That may be partly correct. It's my contention, however, that it goes deeper – they've caught the "white guilt" bug.
Some of you have already dismissed this as nonsense or simple-minded. Don't! Saul Alinsky, author of "Rules for Radicals," believed that one of the best tools for transforming America would be the guilt he could invoke in the white American male. Couple that with Howard Zinn, author of "A People's History of the United States," who has successfully revised American history on college campuses and in Hollywood circles for nearly a half century. Zinn believes that America is a nation built upon theft not liberty; therefore, he presents American history from the perspective of its "victims," such as Native Americans. If you don't believe the "white privilege" mantra has permeated the halls of Congress just as it has our colleges and universities, you're sadly mistaken.
John Boehner and Mitch McConnell may not even realize they've been stricken by the "white guilt" bug. This being the case, it isn't necessarily accurate to label our leadership "moderates" or "RINOs" (Republicans In Name Only). Instead, what we're witnessing in our nation's capital are men who have been paralyzed by political correctness. Republicans have allowed the left to frame the political arguments for so long that we're figuratively playing on a rhetorical football field where we can never win because the scoreboard has been rigged. Frankly, the reason the grass roots love Donald Trump and Ted Cruz so much is that they refuse to play by the rules established by career politicians on the left or right.
If I haven't yet convinced you that white guilt is detrimental to our nation's health, consider amnesty. Ask yourself, "Why haven't we built a fence to secure our nation's border?" It is true that the left needs new voters and both parties want cheap labor. What's more concerning to me is the reason many on the left support open borders. I've written before that Democrats need to replenish the "negro vote" that has been largely killed off by abortion and broken homes, but even that doesn't go far enough! Unfortunately, the left believes just as much as the illegal foreigners that consistently cross our southern border that this land is there's anyway. In other words, we have no right as Americans to secure the land we "stole." Never mind the fact that there's never been a nation established in world history without conquest. Ann Coulter, author of "Adios America," is right to say were it not for the influx of low-skilled immigrants that began entering our country after Ted Kennedy's (aka The Liberal Liar) Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, President Obama would not have been elected.
We're too busy celebrating "Cinco De Mayo" instead of teaching Americans about the 1848 "Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo," which brought an end to the Mexican-American War. After the Mexican government "surrendered" to the U.S., they gave away 55 percent of their land in "negotiations." The land would include parts of modern-day Utah, Nevada, Colorado, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and, of course, California. The regressive left is still living in 1848. It's time to move on and secure our borders like our neighbors Mexico and Canada do!

Now consider the "Black Lives Matter" campaign, which nullified overnight any hope of Martin O'Malley becoming the Democratic presidential nominee. He was scolded at a Netroots conference for saying "black lives matter; white lives matter; all lives matter." He was forced to recant immediately because the audience believed it was racist considering that all they've seen on TV are white cops being overly aggressive toward blacks. Once he capitulated, he perpetuated the myth that all white men are inherently racist. Bad mistake! All lives do matter to God. Racial reconciliation won't come through racial division.
It's time for Americans, particularly white males, to stand up to the left and preach and teach the truth of our nation's founding in love. If you're maligned for being a "racist," simply remind your peers that you're not Woodrow Wilson, FDR, JFK, LBJ, Harry Truman, Al Gore Sr., or Bill Clinton's mentor William Fulbright – also known as Democrats.
We shouldn't ignore America's troubled past in the "context" of world history, but it's time to stop pretending that America isn't exceptional. If the America stops being great, the rest of the world will stop being good.
