Make no mistake. It is not just Republican RINOs who are panicking over The Donald's candidacy for president in 2016. Democrats, as evidenced by the media arm of the party are equally alarmed. Why?
Well, for at least two reasons. First, Trump is talking about the issues, and heaven forbid anybody should do that! Anything that actually matters is racist, phobophobic, hateful, hate-mongering hate-speech! And if you dare to mention it, we will take away your job, your business, your children and your retirement. And furthermore, the president will personally have the IRS, the FBI the EPA, NSA and Michelle's school lunch dietitians hound you to your grave and beyond! Don't you know America was built upon love and respect – you hate-mongering, despophobic subject!
Secondly, Democrats and Republicans are comfy-cozy sharing the federal government's increasingly dictatorial powers – its rogue agencies that write their own laws and have their own administrative courts – as long as it's shared among themselves. What happens in D.C. stays in D.C.
But the reality-show segment is rather different. It's all about your life-blood being sucked dry by a professional class of leaches that look to an uber-wealthy corporate elite for their governing direction. This particular combo views the nation as their private preserve, and together they are going to run it as they darn well see fit! Think H1-B work visas or green cards. Somehow the nation's big tech firms have come to view the Internet as their private game preserve. And out there it's always open season on the middle class.
Sure, send your kids to college so they have a better life. Help them borrow the money from Uncle Sam. And when they graduate they will be unemployable at a living wage. But the colleges are happy. They got the money. Yet somehow, big-tech just can't seem to find the money to pay Americans to do the jobs foreigners will do cheaper. "And so you see, senator," lobbyist handing check over across the desk, "we have to have more XXX visas to remain competitive in the marketplace." Honestly, no self-respecting barber of pre-doctor times would ever have applied that big of a leach to suck the bad blood out of a patient who came to him for help.

In the midst of all this, a lot of folks are saying that capitalism is a bad idea. (Actually, it's "capitolism" that's a bad idea.) America hasn't had capitalism in a very long time. Many small buyers and many small sellers. What America has is politically sanctioned, thinly disguised monopolies masquerading as competition, giving capitalism a bad name. Government loves big business. That's because through big business they control you and me.
All of which brings us to a third reason the entrenched power structure loathes Trump. They can wound his business empire with phony outrage going viral, yes. But if you seriously p––off somebody with that that kind of money and he gets angry … he can also afford to get even.
Finally, there's this. Don't you really, really, really want to see Trump the day after the election turn to the television cameras and say, "Washington, D.C., you're fired!"
