In case you think the covert videos of Planned Parenthood officials represent some kind of aberration insofar as the abortion industry is concerned, meet Carol Everett.
From 1977 through 1983, she operated four abortion clinics in Texas – until a spiritual conversion turned her into a pro-life advocate.
"I sold abortions," Everett explained last year.
She called her chain of clinics a "cash cow." Everett earned her a commission for every abortion plus a share of the clinic's fees. A doctor would perform an abortion in one room, then go across the hall to perform another, often without scrubbing, she said. As he was across the hall, the other room was prepped for the next unwitting victim.
How long did it take to turn a profit in this business? A new clinic would pay for itself within a month, she explained.
TRENDING: America's most dangerous demographic
One wonders why Planned Parenthood needs hundreds of millions in taxpayer subsidies every year – until you consider that the nonprofit, tax-exempt entity known as "Abortion Inc." is not just the biggest corporate abortion provider but also the nation's biggest abortion lobbyist.
But what Everett says as an insider is even darker than the profit motive in extinguishing millions of innocent lives.
She said the government-funded sex education programs, for which Planned Parenthood is a prime lobbyist and provider of educational information, is responsible for breaking down the natural modesty of children and damaging parental bonds. She explained that children are being taught about sex and masturbation in ways that "shame the children" so they will not be comfortable telling their parents what they hear, see and experience in the classroom.
But still it gets worse.
She says many girls are set up for abortions through the widespread use of prescriptions for low-dose birth control pills that must be taken at the same time every day to be effective. Most people are not able to do that consistently, especially teens, so they become pregnant while taking the pill.
She also warned about the abortion drug RU-486.
"The abortion industry has an agenda," she said. "It's a way for the abortion industry to double-dip."
The abortion industry makes money when women buy the drug. And, if it doesn't work, she goes in for a surgical abortion, she said.
"We know it kills women."
Its side effects have included hemorrhaging, heart attacks and blood clots, she said.
She also busted the notion that abortion clinics give any other options to girls and women who come in for consultations. She says they call themselves "pro-choice" but "only talk about abortion."
"Do you ever hear them talk about adoption?" she asked.
Everett says the so-called "counselors" are really telemarketers who are trained to "overcome objections" and close the deal by making an appointment for an abortion. They're trained to say: "We can take care of the problem," and "No one needs to know."
How did Everett see the light?
She was thinking about expanding her business and contacted a financial adviser for advice. She said she didn't care what he charged. The man turned out to be a Christian who led her to God.
When she returned to the abortion clinic after accepting Christ into her life, she noticed "girls sitting in the corner crying."
"I saw it maybe for the first time," she said. "I used to be the hammer, pushing them toward their abortions."
She realized not only was she a "baby-killing woman" but also she was a "woman-killing woman."
Do you think Planned Parenthood doesn't know what it's doing?
Think again.
Now that the truth is getting out about "Abortion Inc.," no one is without excuse.
