Last week in Reno, Nevada, the American flag was replaced over city hall by the infamous gay-pride rainbow flag.
Read that again.
Thankfully, the outrage was immediate, and city officials removed it, saying the flag was supposed to fly "alongside" the American flag and not replace it.
OK, read that again.
What's the big deal, right?! I mean, if the White House can light up like a rainbow, then why can't the gay-pride flag replace the American flag over city hall?

"Ward, I think something's wrong with the Beaver. Maybe you should go upstairs and check it out."
June Cleaver was right: Maybe we should go "upstairs" and check things out.
It's time we look to God for answers to help our spiritually backslidden nation – to seek Him that we might find the answers that bring His blessings.
Now that the Red, White and Blue is being replaced by – or flown alongside – the hijacked colors of ROYGBIV, what might God have to say to us today?
We look to His Word for answers:
"God resists the proud, but He gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6).
Pride is something God resists. We may sing "God Bless America," but God won't bless people or nations that are prideful. It's against His nature. In fact, His Word says He removes blessings from nations that refuse to honor Him.
"… I might speak concerning a nation or concerning a kingdom to build up or to plant it; if it does evil in My sight by not obeying My voice, then I will think better of the good with which I had promised to bless it" (Jeremiah 18:8-9).
Despite admonitions from God's Word, we continue to turn our backs on Him and walk in pride.
"Everyone who is proud of heart is an abomination to the Lord; assuredly he will not be unpunished" (Proverbs 16:5).
"Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall" (Proverbs 16:18).
"Before his downfall a man's heart is proud, but humility comes before honor" (Proverbs 18:22).
If we are going to celebrate and embrace pride as a nation, God's Word warns us that destruction, not blessing, is what we'll get – no matter how much we sing or pray for blessings.
And there's more:
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud" (1 Corinthians 13:4).
Did you catch that?
Love is not proud.
The mantra for the gay-pride flag is "Love & Equality." But it's actually quite the opposite because love is not proud, and equality does not force its agenda against people's consciences. So this flag actually represents the opposite of its "tolerant" claims.
We may be accused of being "hateful" here, which would simply be propaganda, but we're actually exemplifying love by speaking the truth.
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:13).
Replace the word "his life" with "reputation, job, political position, or ministry" and read that verse again. It's a testimony of love to risk it all for the truth.
Here's a bit more scripture to guide us today:
"Has a nation ever traded its gods for new ones, even though they are not gods at all? Yet My people have exchanged their glorious God for worthless idols!" (Jeremiah 2:11).
We saw an exchange of flags in Reno, Nevada, which, in our opinion, is a spiritual symbol of exchanging gods in our nation. We began removing the God of the Bible long ago, and we see the public manifestation of it.
In 1945, during a decisive point in World War II, Berlin was defeated and a Soviet flag was strategically placed over one of Germany's most sacred buildings – the Reichstag – thus signifying Soviet victory and occupation of East Germany. As for Germany, they knew this meant the war was over. They had been defeated.
Has America been defeated by radical LGBT extremism?
Up until now, our flag has stood for freedom, with freedom of religion at the top of the list. Today the American flag is being replaced by a flag that stands for sexual freedom – at the expense of our other, sacred freedoms. And as we have seen in court case after court case across the country, sexual freedom is defeating religious freedom. That is exactly what we can expect to see if the gay flag trumps the American flag, and if that ever happens, America will no longer be the land of the free and home of the brave.
