Who are you going to believe – Barack Obama's White House or your own lying eyes?
That was, more or less, what the implausible Press Secretary Josh (anything-but) Earnest had to say about those covert Planned Parenthood videos showing officials of the taxpayer-subsidized baby butcher shop describing in detail their plans to sell what they call "the products of abortion" to the highest bidders.
He called the videos "fraudulent."
Fraudulent? How?
"Planned Parenthood has been quite specific about the policy and procedures that they have in place and I know that they have described those procedures as reaching the highest ethical standards," Earnest told reporters late last week. "Based on the essentially fraudulent way these videos have been released, there is not a lot of evidence that Planned Parenthood hasn't lived up to those standards."
TRENDING: Jihad against Christians is due to … climate change?
And what is the evidence they are fraudulent – or that their release publicly is?
It's a classic case of changing the subject when you don't like the subject.
"There is ample reason to think that this is merely the tried-and-true tactic we've seen from extremists on the right to edit this video and selectively release an edited version of the video that grossly distorts the positions of the person who is in the video," Earnest said.
Not at all true.
Those "extremists," meaning people who believe life begins before a baby leaves the hospital, didn't just release edited videos. They've made available the videos in their entirety, knowing just such ludicrous claims would be made by gutless, lying sycophants like Earnest.
But the White House is counting on most Americans not bothering to watch for themselves. And, let's face it: How many people have the stomach for it?
So what about that word "fraudulent"?
Earnest said his conclusion is based on what Planned Parenthood officials have said.
It's a case of see-no-evil, hear-no-evil, speak-no-evil – about Planned Parenthood, one of the foundational institutions of the "progressive" left.
Think I'm joking? Earnest went on to say that he does not know whether his boss, Obama, has even bothered to watch the videos even Hillary Clinton has called "disturbing." Clinton, by the way, won Planned Parenthood's highest award, named after founder Margaret Sanger, who created the group because of her desire to eliminate as many black babies as possible. She was a favorite speaker on the Ku Klux Klan circuit in her day.
Should Planned Parenthood be defunded?
It should never have been funded by tax dollars in the first place. Now the real question should be whether Planned Parenthood officials go to jail for trading in and profiting off of the sale of human baby parts.
It's about time the American people have been made aware of just what a despicable, degenerate, depraved, debased, debauched organization they've been subsidizing for so many years.
It's also about time the American people learned the truth about abortion.
It's also about time the American people figured out the real nature of so-called "progressives" and their so-called "compassion" for the innocent and defenseless.
My hat is off to the Center for Medical Progress for achieving what the life movement has been unable to do in reaching the hearts and minds of America over the last 42 years since Roe v. Wade.
I don't know about you, but, for me, seeing is believing.
"Fraudulent" perfectly describes Planned Parenthood, which has been pulling the wool over the eyes of Americans for too long, pretending to be about "women's health care." Health care, by definition, is about saving lives, not taking them and chopping up the remains for fun and profit.
