The nonprofit, nonpartisan government watchdog Judicial Watch has discovered the Obama administration has spent tens of thousands of dollars in just the past few months to hire a Chicago law firm to teach diversity training to federal employees – and millions more in the last few years.
The firm, Souder, Betances & Associates, headed up by Samuel Betances – a Harvard graduate who bills himself as a “biracial, bicultural and bilingual citizen of the world” – has received millions of dollars under President Obama’s watch, in part to train federal workers on the ins and outs of politically correct diversity, Judicial Watch said, in a written statement.
For instance, in just the past few months, the firm’s received $42,000 for diversity training for the Department of Homeland Security and for the Department of Energy. Other agencies the firm’s worked for include the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Department of Defense and Health and Human Services.
Judicial Watch, based in part from a federal employee tip, obtained several USDA videos of past diversity training sessions, one of which included Betances telling his class to say, “If we work for a federal agency, we’ve discriminated in the past.” He’s also been involved with teaching federal workers the United States “took over what used to be Mexico,” the watchdog found.
Judicial Watch reported the federal government has attempted to keep this training secret, with one email trail revealing a USDA head named Vincent Loran promised Betances he’d keep hidden a video he shot of recent training at the agency’s facility.
Judicial Watch reported: “This month, the National Science Foundation refused to reveal details of a Betances event at the agency’s Washington, D.C., headquarters. Judicial Watch learned about it after spotting a flyer advertising a September 9 Betances appearance at the NSF.”
In “Scam: How the Black Leadership Exploits Black America,” Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson – a true black leader whom many affectionately call “the other Jesse” – shows how the civil rights establishment has made a lucrative career out of keeping racial strife alive in America.
Judicial Watch said it took concerted effort, but finally confirmed the training session did in fact go forth.
One spokeswoman for the agency told Judicial Watch: “These are internal events for NSF staff to celebrate and learn about heritage/history months from various speakers who are scientists, engineers or educators.
