Hillary Clinton, the Democratic front-runner in her party’s primary for president, said during an appearance on the “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” she would definitely let big banks fail, even to the point where they crumble.

Colbert asked directly: “If you’re president and the banks are failing, do we let them fail?”

Clinton’s response, the Hill reported: “Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.”

She then went on: ” First of all, under Dodd-Frank, that is what will happen because we now have stress tests and I’m going to impose a risk fee on the big bank if they engage in risky behavior but they have to know, their shareholders have to know that yes, they will fail and if they’re too big to fail. Then under my plan and others that have been proposed, they may have to be broken up.”

Clinton said her Wall Street reform package includes several clamp-downs on the financial sector.

During the interview, Clinton also spoke of her favorite television shows, citing “House of Cards,” the “Good Wife” and “Madam Secretary,” the Hill said.
