Libraries aren't what they used to be.
Students studying at Dartmouth University were subjected to screaming and chanting, and told they were "racists" in a recent confrontation created by the protest group Black Lives Matter.
Shocking video shows protesters making obscene gestures and accosting students who were trying to study.
Reports from the school claim white students of both sexes were also assaulted and taunted with racial slurs.
Student protesters at Dartmouth are currently advocating that the theme of the annual winter carnival, normally an apolitical event, be changed to reflect racial issues.
But it's not just Dartmouth. Campus Reform reports unrest has erupted on campuses nationwide as progressive activists are urging students to demonstrate in solidarity with far left-protesters at the University of Missouri.
Media coverage of the protests has declined in the wake of the ISIS terrorist attack in Paris. Frustrated at the loss of sympathetic attention from the press, Black Lives Matter protesters have begun a social networking campaign making their views of the French people clear.
The hashtag being used by many Black Lives Matter supporters is "F**K Paris." A rapper supporting the movement even released a new song using the obscene slogan as the title.
One black civil rights leader says it is simply proof whites will always be considered racist no matter what they do.
"There's nothing whites can do," the Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson told WND.
The founder and president of BOND (Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny) and the author of the new book "The Antidote" said the demands of left-wing extremists are never-ending and it is useless to try to appease them.
"These black racists will never be satisfied," he said. "They ran the president of the University of Missouri off, and yet they continue to protest. These people are radicals. The only thing that will stop them is a pushback, and they should be arrested for being violent and disorderly."
Peterson, a WND columnist, predicted the protests would continue to spread until American higher education is rendered all but useless.
"The colleges will become totally liberal and less valuable to society," he said. "The American university system is the crown jewel of higher education, but if this type of chaos is allowed to continue, that will no longer be the case. White conservatives and Christians will have to completely abandon these schools and find alternative ways to obtain higher learning."
Jack Cashill, a WND columnist and the author of "Scarlet Letters: The Ever-Increasing Intolerance of the Cult of Liberalism," argues Black Lives Matter remains a fringe movement.
"For all the media efforts to sell the campus protest movement, the public isn't buying," Cashill told WND. "By a 62-20 margin, Missourians disapproved of the protesters' actions on the MU campus. By a 45-35 percent margin, Missourians would discourage their children from attending MU. Only 51 percent of black Missourians approved the action on campus.
"As the protests grow more extreme, the public revulsion will only increase. Inertia will protect the liberal status quo for a while but not forever. When people like Purdue President Mitch Daniels publicly denounce events at the University of Missouri and Yale, they are showing the nation that there are alternatives to education by ideological thuggery."
But Colin Flaherty, who has chronicled black mob violence against whites nationwide in "White Girl Bleed A Lot," believes Black Lives Matter is simply "the latest manifestation of how black-on-white hostility is now mainstream."
Flaherty says the sudden outbreak of racial radicalism on college campuses is no surprise.
"Students are just doing what they have been taught," he stated. "The success of Black Lives Matter on college campuses is a direct result of college professors being so enthusiastic about teaching how white racism is everywhere. So kids are learning they are oppressed. They believe it. When you see these protests and this kind of acting out, these students are acting rationally and following their beliefs – however grounded in mythology and deceit they may be."
Flaherty told WND the virus of anti-white hatred will not be contained to college campuses.
"It is supported by all sorts of lies and fairy tales about how black people are victims of relentless white racism," Flaherty said. "In fact, the opposite is true. Black crime and violence is wildly out of proportion. And as bad as the crime statistics are, the real crime numbers are even worse because of witness intimidation, a 'no snitching' culture in the inner cities, and jury nullification."
Following the shooting of domestic-assault suspect Jamar Clark at the hands of law enforcement last weekend, Minneapolis became the newest scene of the anti-police protests that have gripped the country over the last year. Clark was taken off life support and died Monday night as hundreds of protesters shut down I-94 in Minneapolis, leading to dozens of arrests.
And while protests garner headlines, the campaign against memorials and city names regarded as racially problematic could begin again at any movement. Indeed, a recent viral video showed even America's first president is no longer politically correct, as many Americans want to rename Washington, D.C., because the current name is "racist."
Flaherty condemned what he called a "racial war in America” over information.
“It’s a war for truth," he said. "An enormous amount of people around the country are becoming aware that the mainstream media is incapable of telling the truth about race. When are we going to stop blaming white racism for the problems of black people? And when are black people going to take responsibility for their own lives?"
Peterson warned that if Black Lives Matter continues on its radical path, there will be a white backlash that could take a violent form. Yet such unlawful action, he cautioned, would only hurt whites in the end.
"Whites will fight back, but I'm concerned that it will be in the wrong way, with violence rather than speaking up, standing firm and taking nonviolent action in response to what's going on," Peterson told WND.
"Whites will suffer either way, because as long as Obama is in office and we have a liberal black attorney general, whites won't be able to get justice – no matter what."
