I have noticed that whenever Barack Obama approaches a microphone for a press conference or other speech he sounds like a programmed, unfeeling college professor bored with his job. His lack of passion or anger is apparent whenever he is forced to talk about things he feels he must address in order to appease the American people. However, his anger, disgust and passion do emerge every time he speaks about the Republican Party, when he can't hide the vitriolic sarcasm and contempt he feels.
This is not new. Even before he was elected he was caught on tape talking about working-class Midwest Republicans/conservatives:
"And it's not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."
We know that he considers the Republicans a thorn in his side and an annoyance that he wants to squash like a bug. He hates what they stand for, he hates their opposition to his policies, and he has dismissed them over and over again by not even having a dialogue with Republican leaders over the differences between the two parties. Remember who is in his ear all the time; Valerie Jarrett has made it perfectly clear what they plan to do:
"After we win this election, it's our turn. Payback time. Everyone not with us is against us, and they better be ready because we don't forget. The ones who helped us will be rewarded; the ones who opposed us will get what they deserve. There is going to be hell to pay."
There is no law stating that politicians must "like" each other, but there is a feeling that the president should at least try to negotiate and compromise for the good of the country. He will not do that. It is "my way or the highway" in Obama's world. The latest example of this is the controversy over bringing in tens of thousands of Syrian refugees without proper vetting.
The new speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, managed to get a bipartisan bill passed last week allowing the government to take a pause in bringing to this country undocumented Syrians that even the FBI and Homeland Security say can't be vetted. Before the last vote was even cast, Obama made a statement that he would veto it, without question. Not even knowing what was in it, he refused to consider a bill that would protect the American people. Word went out to Harry Reid in the Senate not to allow it to even be brought to the floor for a vote, so the stonewalling continues.
Last week Obama spoke without any passion about the French attacks. His speech was measured and monotone, using the same old stale phrases about how terrible it was and that it must be stopped. But when the Republicans started pushing back on allowing the Syrian refugees to enter the country at this point in time, he lashed out at them, calling them "un-American." He pulled out every card he had to demonize them, make them look racist and uncaring and even going so far as to suggest that it was only Muslims they wanted to keep out. He bashed the candidates for suggesting that we needed to stop and make sure that we knew who was coming in by saying that "they are scared of widows and 3-year-old orphans."
While the American people are reeling from the attacks in Paris and realizing that we are the next target on ISIS' list, Obama plays politics. Instead of creating a comforting and united front, once again he divides and polarizes making Americans even more insecure. One might ask: Why does he continue to do this? Is it just pure hatred for Republicans, or is it something else?
The something else might be the plan to systematically destroy the Republican Party once and for all. The Democrats have been working toward that goal for decades, and it irks them that they just can't seem to kill the beast. They have tried everything. They smear and demonize; they work through the IRS to target Republicans and shut them down; they make everything politically correct so that those with a differing opinion are shouted down and silenced. Any bill Republicans oppose, like Obamacare, becomes a personal affront to the Democrats, and they find some way to turn public opinion against them.
While continuing their constant demonizing, Obama and his party are working tirelessly to bring in as many future Democratic voters as they can. They keep the borders open and porous so that thousands upon thousands of illegals can easily cross over. They advertise to foreign nations in Central and South America that the U.S. will take anyone who feels "oppressed" and welcome them with open arms and promises of entitlements. They continue to relocate these people to "red states" that are becoming increasingly purple or blue. It is easy to see that will just a little more effort the Democrats will own the Electoral College.
The line Obama is spouting about the Syrian refugees representing a "humanitarian crisis" and how the U.S. has to step up and welcome these people is a crock. If he were really concerned about the welfare of these people, why didn't he do something about ISIS in the days of its infancy? Why didn't he do something when the "red line" was crossed in Syria? This is all a political sham – all he wants is more and more bodies in this country to eventually vote Democratic and render the Republicans irrelevant.
His No. 1 enemy lies within his own borders, and he has more of a passion and obsession for taking them out than he does taking out ISIS or our other enemies. It is quite obvious that Obama would rather cozy up to Iran and Cuba where he bends over backwards to appease them than try to unify and work will "all Americans" to build a stronger nation.
It has become obvious that Obama and the Democratic Party do not want competition or opposition anymore, so they are risking the safety of America to wipe out their most hated adversary – the Republican Party.
