It's the unbelievable – even miraculous – story of the Messianic rabbi many people call "America's Prophet."
And now a screening has been announced for the stunning movie.
"The Harbinger Man," the hit documentary film chronicling the incredible story of Cahn, will make its official screen debut at Cahn's own worship center.
The screening will take place on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m. at The Jerusalem Center/Beth Israel, 11 Railroad Ave, Wayne, New Jersey.
Cahn says he's amazed he's the subject of a film, but told WND he agreed to have a documentary made about his life if it would lead more people to Messiah.
"When WND told me they wanted to make a movie on my life, I was totally surprised," he said. "To speak about God, His Word, and His calling is natural for me. To speak about myself is not.
"I agreed to it with the understanding that it would be lifting up the Lord in all things and leading those who would see it to turn to God. I wanted it to lift up the Lord, help believers find their calling, and lead the unsaved to salvation."
WND Founder and CEO Joseph Farah says it's not only appropriate Cahn is the subject of a film, but that The Jerusalem Center is the perfect place for the premiere.
"It is only fitting that the movie about Jonathan Cahn, the messianic rabbi who has twice authored No. 1 New York Times bestsellers that have shaken the world, make its official screen debut in his own New York metropolitan area congregation, Beth Israel," said Farah, the producer of the film. "These are the people who know Jonathan best. They have been listening to his unparalleled teachings for many years. They have been counseled by him and worshiped with him. This weekend, they get a chance to see a movie about his astonishing life story.
"This is the real kickoff for this movie."
The film has received rave reviews from viewers, with 88 percent of those who purchased the film giving it five stars.
One viewer wrote: "Great story! It covers the whole back story of the writing of the book, 'The Harbinger.' Demonstrably shows the hand of God moving in people's lives. Your eternal destiny may very well hinge on you watching this video."
"WND did a great job with the film," Cahn said. "'The Harbinger Man' is powerful, intriguing, challenging, prophetic and enjoyable. Everyone I know who has seen it has loved it."
Local theaters could not be used for the screening of "The Harbinger Man" because the interest has been so great there was not room.
Cahn marveled: "We had a certain number we expected for the premiere screening. But the numbers of people coming have far exceeded anything we imagined."
"We're expecting 600 or more people to attend the premiere showing of 'The Harbinger Man' at the Jerusalem Center," said George Escobar, vice president of WND Films and the director of the movie. "We looked into local theaters, but none of them could accommodate a large audience this size."
The film shows the remarkable rise of Cahn from an obscure atheist born to a Jewish family into one of the most important figures in present-day American Christianity. After surviving a near-death experience and dedicating his life to Jesus Christ, Cahn went on to become the rabbi of one of the largest Messianic congregations in the world.
He rocketed to worldwide fame after authoring "The Harbinger: The Ancient Mystery That Holds the Secret of America's Future," which stayed on the New York Times bestseller list for more than 100 weeks. Cahn went on to write "The Mystery of the Shemitah," introducing the world to the seven-year biblical cycle heralding great changes in the world's economy and geopolitics.
He has also unveiled a penetrating series of biblical teachings and has preached and taught scripture on Christian television and at meetings all over the world.
His powerful address at the 2013 Presidential Inaugural Breakfast turned him into a web sensation. And when he spoke on the topic of homosexual "marriage" on Capitol Hill in 2015, he drew millions of online viewers.
"This is the first biographical film about Rabbi Jonathan Cahn and his profound teachings from scripture," said Escobar. "Over two years in the making and spanning across a dozen major U.S. cities and Israel, including Jerusalem, this is the most comprehensive look into the life and ministry of Rabbi Cahn."
Escobar said he is especially gratified for how he has been able to experience Cahn's teachings and ministries firsthand while filming "The Harbinger Man," and "The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment," the cinematic treatment of the "Harbinger" mystery that became the top faith movie of both 2012 and 2013.
"As the director of 'The Harbinger Man,' and 'The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment,' I have witnessed first-hand some of the most candid moments of Rabbi Cahn's ministry outreach. His humility, humor and love for God's Word has affected me profoundly to seek the Lord with a heartfelt passion."
Escobar confessed he is looking forward to returning to The Jerusalem Center for the film.
"Being with the congregation of Jerusalem Center/Beth Israel is like homecoming to me," he said. "They are so generous in spirit, loving, and welcoming. Led by Rabbi Cahn, they worship the Messiah with an abandonment that is so refreshing."
Cahn's call to repentance and warning of judgment has sometimes been interpreted as dire. But he says his real message, and the takeaway from "The Harbinger Man," is one of hope and joy.
"[The takeaway is] that God is real," Cahn told WND. "That God is amazing. That His hand is in our lives. That He calls each of us with a high and holy calling. And if God can take and use me, who was a Jewish atheist at the age of 8, and use me for his purposes, He can use anyone!"
