Television celebrity Montel Williams had some harsh words for those in the Republican Party who worried about America's short end of the stick in a prisoner swap with Iran, telling critics in a fiery Twitter rant to "shut up" – and more.
"There's a time and place for politics," Williams tweeted, as the Blaze found. "It's not today."

He was speaking about the weekend release of four Americans held in Iran, as reported by WND. In exchange for their release, America let go several Iranian-Americans who were being held for charges tied to sanctions' violations.
Conservatives were quick to condemn the deal, saying it would only spark more kidnappings and hostage situations.
Donald Trump, for example, said: "They get $150 billion, plus seven and we get four."
Sens. Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz also condemned the trade.
Rubio, as the Blaze reported, said "governments are taking Americans hostage because they believe they can gain concessions from this government under Barack Obama" and this White House has "created an incentive for more people to do" the same.
And Cruz pointed fingers at the Obama administration as well, saying the White House "announces the good news and then hides the bad news," such as the "propaganda" tool Iran's been handed with the swap.
Williams slammed the critics on Twitter.
"Beyond inappropriate for Republican candidates to criticize a deal to release hostages before they are home," he wrote, the Blaze reported. "Sit the hell down and shut up."
And another: "Dear Americans: Just for today, let's #StopWithTheStupid, just absorb that something monumental has happened."
