(THE HILL) British police have arrested a teenager in connection to several high-profile hacks of senior intelligence leaders in the U.S., officials told CNN.
They declined to name the alleged hacker, who is underage. One official told CNN that they were shocked to find that a “16-year-old computer nerd” had done so well to hide his tracks.
A hacker who calls himself Cracka, the apparent leader of a group known as Crackas with Attitude, over the last several months has claimed responsibility for breaking into the personal accounts of CIA Director John Brennan, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson and FBI Deputy Director Mark Giuliano. Most recently, he targeted President Obama’s senior advisor on science and technology, John Holdren.
