Janet Mefferd, host of "The Janet Mefferd Show," a radio program heard coast to coast, has more discernment in her vintage mic than most reporters have in their entire newsrooms.
Recently she tweeted: "Left won't stop Muslim 'refugee' flood to U.S. just b/c small % are violent jihadists. But they apply reverse logic to try to nix 2nd Amend."
Yes. Exactly.
In the crazy world in which we live, there are daily reminders that a good portion of the population is not playing with a full deck. Man-on-the-street interviews reveal a populace that is woefully ignorant of major issues. A certain number of Millennials believe there are magic money trees that sprout up in fairy gardens, and the money can be used to pay for everything; everything is free.
I'm even shocked at the lack of in-depth analysis of the Marxist policies of Bernie Sanders, who this year was a serious candidate for the presidency.
Where is the outrage?
We are witnessing – living right in the whirlwind – mass deception, perpetrated by the government.
The attorney general scrubs jihad language from the Orlando jihad attack. The president openly lies about everything from Gitmo to the economy.
Even Christian media (especially Christian media?) join the parade. Russell Moore, president of the Southern Baptists' Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, ramrods leftist policies, while at the same time demonizing the Republican nominee for president.
Further (try to wrap your mind around this one; go ahead, just try), Moore not only advocates bringing in refugees from Syria and Iraq, he also is involved in efforts to have a mosque built in New Jersey. He defended this idiocy at the SBC convention two weeks ago by arguing that we must support "soul freedom" for everyone!
(If he truly believes this, why isn't he working 24/7 to make the "soul freedom" of Jesus Christ available for Muslim evangelism?)
Moore's policies are insane. They also represent an existential threat to Americans. It is painfully obvious that more ISIS attacks are forthcoming on our soil, some of which will come from the very immigrants Moore claims we need to bring in.
By the way, I call on all religious leaders in this country, led by Moore, who advocate welcoming refugees to welcome them into their own homes, for an extended period. I'm talking young Muslim men.
It is also an existential threat to support the building of mosques, since from mosques jihad is preached and has been for decades. A core belief in Islam is that sharia law must be established globally. The United States is the big prize.
Since 9/11, we have seen stepped-up efforts to accomplish these goals, from the election of Muslims to Congress, to the inclusion of Muslim "advisors" in the White House.
It's a given that the New York Slimes is permanently on the left. But when Christian media like Christianity Today advocate many of the same positions, it's mind boggling.
Ed Stetzer, who now is transitioning as president of LifeWay Research (an arm of the SBC) to director of the Billy Graham Center at Wheaton, is another left-leaning media darling. His large writing platforms give him a megaphone with which to advance left-leaning causes. Stetzer is a major bridge-builder with Muslim extremists. From a "Pulpit & Pen" post:
Last month, Ed Stetzer spoke at an interfaith gathering with Islamic extremists, including known aiders and abetters of international terrorism. Stetzer provided Southern Baptist-owned Lifeway data to assist the Muslims in "learning how to relate" to evangelicals and how to "build bridges" with other faiths. Speaking with Stetzer at the ironically-themed "Spreading Peace Convocation" was Obama's spiritual advisor, Joel Hunter, radical sheik Hamsa Yusef, cop-killer supporting Muslim and friend of Anwar Awlaki, Suhaib Webb. Stetzer was paid to hand over the Southern Baptist intellectual property to the Islamic extremists by Islamic globalist organization funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the International Interfaith Peace Corps and the syncretistic Chrislam organization, Glocal.
Glocal, by the way, is run by Baptist Pastor Bob Roberts Jr.
A second Civil War is coming to America. When it does, we can thank the media in large part for fomenting strife, fear and division.
