I got a letter from Barack Obama last weekend.
Maybe you got it, too.
It came on the one-year anniversary of the Supreme Court edict mandating same-sex marriage.
"One of the most memorable moments of my presidency was one year ago today, on a warm summer night, when we lit up the White House in the colors of the rainbow flag," he wrote. "It was hours after the Supreme Court had ruled that love is love, and all marriages would be equal under the law."
Well, not exactly accurate.
TRENDING: Jihad against Christians is due to … climate change?
Not all marriages would be equal under the law. Obama's constituency will never be satisfied.
Marriage is still oddly an institution only for couples.
Isn't that "discriminatory"?
Is that an oversight? Or is it the next target?
Or maybe that will come after people get the "right" to marry animals or inanimate objects.
Maybe it sounds like I'm being bigoted, narrow-minded or flippant.
I'm not. There are Americans demanding each and every one of those "rights." We have chronicled them in WND. It's no joke.
It shows that there is no end to the madness, no end to the kinds of "discrimination" the so-called "progressives" like Obama will continue to fight. It's what empowers them – not actually making life better for America, but simply remaining in constant commotion and agitation.
Once a community organizer, always a community organizer.
Obama went on to say about the same-sex marriage oligarchic ruling: "It was a powerful symbol here at home, where our fellow Americans could finally feel accepted and whole in a country that recognized the love they share. It was also a beacon for LGBT people here and around the world that we are still fighting for the fullness of equality."
See? The fight isn't over. In fact, you ain't seen nothing yet.
Now the fight is about bathroom "equality" and locker room "equality."
What's next?
Who can even imagine the next great movement?
But it gets worse, as it always does, with Obama's lecturing and hectoring.
"When you divide the world into 'us' and 'them,' and denigrate and express hatred because of skin color or faith or sexual orientation, you feed something very dangerous," he added.
But who is it that is dividing people into groups? It's Obama and his "progressive" friends. It is they who play this game – even forcing people of faith to participate in behavior and ceremonies and rites that stand diametrically opposed to their deepest moral convictions, not to mention the Bible – the moral cornerstone of Western civilization and the American founding.
And they achieve new rules of order without any input from the people.
Do I need to remind anyone how many times same-sex marriage was defeated in state propositions before being foisted upon the entire nation by the highest court? It's judicial tyranny of the highest order. Congress and the will of the people are almost as useless in America today as a result of this process as it is in the European Union, which Great Britain declared its independence from last week.
If you think this fight is over, just read what else Obama had to say.
"And so we have to keep on pushing," he wrote. "We have to keep pushing to make sure our LGBT brothers and sisters are not attacked, or even killed, for just being who they are. We have to keep pushing to make sure jobs are not being denied and people aren't being fired because of their sexual orientation. We have to keep pushing to make sure every single member of our American family feels welcomed and valued and loved."
Pushing, pushing, pushing. That's what the bullies of the "progressive" movement do – now adept at roping corporate America into this new form of tyrannical governance in which ordinary people have no say.
"So while we can celebrate incredible victories like we did on June 26th, 2015, we also have to remember that history doesn't just travel forward," he wrote. "It can go backwards if we don't work hard. We can't be complacent when it comes to securing the gains we've made. And that means we have to vote, because we have the opportunity this November to keep history moving in the right direction – can you chip in $3 or more to help us make sure that happens?"
If you like having no say about how our country is governed, be sure to vote Democratic in November.
If you like "men" masquerading as "women" in your little girl's public restroom, be sure to vote Democratic in November.
If you can't wait to find out what the next "rights" movement is all about, be sure to vote Democratic in November.
