The Democrats speak of compassion, justice, equality, fairness.
But what they actually seek is greater empowerment of government, less for the individual.
In fact, if you want to understand what really makes the Democratic Party tick, you need to know it is this – centralized authority and less individual liberty.
That's why the Democrats suggest nothing is being done about problems unless the federal government is doing something. More and more, the solution to all problems involves global action. This, of course, results in American citizens having even less control over their own lives and less accountability of those responsible for making laws, regulations and enforcing them.
Think about the Democrats' priorities:
TRENDING: America's most dangerous demographic
- They don't believe Islamic terrorism is really a big problem, so they don't even speak its name. So, at the very time Islamic terrorism is killing more and more Americans and others, the Democrats are actively recruiting foreign Muslims to resettle in the U.S. in growing numbers. (It was not mentioned in the entire opening night of the Democrats' convention!) Why? Because the Democrats see them as important constituents to achieve their objectives – reliable Democratic voters.
- They don't believe a porous, open border is a problem, so they don't enforce the immigration laws on the books. Why not? Again, the Democrats see immigrants – legal and illegal – as important constituents to achieve their objectives – reliable Democratic voters.
- They believe it's immoral to require voters in U.S. elections to produce proof of identification. Why? Because if no one is required to produce identification to vote, anyone can vote. It's a policy of legalized voter fraud. And Democrats will do anything and everything they can to empower themselves.
- They agree the No. 1 crisis facing the world is "catastrophic, man-made climate change." Why? It's just a convenient way to grab even more power for government. It's a way to fundamentally transform America from a prosperous, self-governing society with abundant natural resources into a Third World nation of people dependent on government.
- They want to get rid of guns from society, even though owning them and bearing them is a specific constitutionally guaranteed individual right. Why? Because then the government has a monopoly on force.
- They want to ensure that abortion on demand is the law of the land. Why? Because people, to the Democratic ideology, are like a blight on the earth. The more there are, the more mouths there are to feed. People are not a great natural resource, any more than are oil or coal. They are all just pollutants – plagues on the planet. That's why the government needs to be in charge of health care, too, so that it can be rationed. That's why on the other end of the life spectrum, assisted suicide is promoted.
- They do believe that one of the most pressing issues facing American society is the need for bathrooms and locker rooms open not only to both men and women, but to a long list of those who "identify" as something else – whatever that means.
Watching the first night of the Democratic Party convention, I noticed the party is very concerned about "mental illness" and is pushing the federal government, as always, to provide more for treatment options. Not surprising. Mental illness seems to be at the very root of the party's problems. It is completely detached from reality, truth, the facts on the ground.
A few other observations:
Democrats don't like self-governance – the very essence of American exceptionalism.
Democrats don't like self-reliance – it threatens them.
Democrats don't like independence – they prefer globalism and "interdependence."
Democrats don't like liberty – preferring control.
Democrats don't like God – they prefer to make the rules.
