(New York Post) Key members of the New Jersey Assembly are considering whether to seek the impeachment of Gov. Chris Christie over Bridgegate, according to a report.
Some members of the Democrat-controlled Assembly believe testimony in the George Washington Bridge scandal trial suggests the Republican governor had knowledge of the infamous lane closures in Fort Lee as they were happening, NBC 4 New York reports.
One committee chairman who declined to be named said “obstruction of justice” would be an obvious charge — and gave chances that the legislative body would pursue articles of impeachment at about 50-50, the report said.
