The ceremony is over. It did not suffer in the least from the absence of A-list entertainment. America will be just fine without celebrities going on about politics out into the future. When you remember the story more than who played whom on the silver screen, and you forget the cares of the moment, you will know you have been in the presence of real talent.
The Inaugural Address spelled it out: The self-annointed "elites" have been using their positions of trust to rape and pillage the nation and its citizens for years. Their purpose has been to fill their pockets without thought for others. They will find the new requirements of competence and character difficult, if not impossible, to overcome. You can tell firms to avoid by noting where they are taken in.
It is God alone who causes nations to rise and nations to fall. His timing is always perfect. A nation is born when God wills that it be born, and a nation is finished when God says it is finished – but not before. The fact that America has been spared the death-knell of "elitist" wisdom is evidence that God has something still in mind for America to do in the world.
God works through individuals, groups of people and nations to achieve His purposes. God's purposes may or may not be the purposes of those individuals, groups or nations that He works with and through. Nations are simply geographic collections of individuals. As such, God deals with nations as easily as He deals with individuals.
God's purposes in the world can be resisted. They cannot be overcome. We have now entered the latter era.
