The ringleader of an online child sex-abuse network that victimized at least 47 boys ages 7-15 in recent years has been caught, convicted and jailed, following a years-long investigation that involved police authorities in several locations around the globe, says a report in Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.
Although the names were not released by the International Child Sexual Exploitation database officials, who announced the resolution of the case, they said the ringleader, 28, was convicted recently of forcible indecency and child prostitution.
He was sentenced to eight years and joined in prison four other members of the network, men ages 36-40, who had been given sentences range from two to five years after their convictions at the end of 2016.
The investigation was launched in 2015 when investigators in both Denmark and Australia found video of an "unknown" abuse victim and uploaded them of the ICSE database at INTERPOL.
The investigation ultimately took down a businessman, a nursing home employee and a dancer, who would "approach children in amusement parks, game centers and video rental shops, or in the street. After recording their crimes, the videos would be circulated via a private network."
Analysis of the database information suggested, from the child's school uniform and sound accompanying the video, that the victims were being targeted in Japan. Local authorities were notified and the Kyoto Prefectural Police found the suspected abuser and rescued the child.
