'All prophecy links to Ark of Covenant,' says expert

Harrison Ford, right, portrays Indiana Jones carrying the Ark of the Covenant in 1981’s “Raiders of the Lost Ark.”

Many in contemporary society have an image of the biblical Ark of the Covenant from the Indiana Jones move, “Raiders of the Lost Ark.”

There, a contingent of Nazi soldiers had visions of strength, wealth and control through the Ark’s biblically confirmed power.

Then they opened it.

But instead of delivering to them their desires of earthly influence, its sheer uncontrollable energy laid waste, literally vaporizing them.

Now an investigative archaeologist is suggesting that may not be so fanciful after all.

Biblical Ark expert Harry H. Moskoff, who is the author of “The A.R.K. Report,” spoke recently at a conference hosted by Breaking Israel News.

In an age when Christianity is openly under attack, one book that champions the Bible as absolute truth is surprising even longtime Christians with amazing facts many people simply don’t know are included in the pages of Holy Scripture. He pointed out that not only did the Ark store the two stone tablets of the Ten Commandments, it also was considered an “indestructible weapon of war that could fell fortified cities.”

Further, he believes, according to a stunning report in BIN, that the Ark is a channel between man and God for prophecy.

He explained, BIN reported, that makes it “directly responsible for the advent of God’s Word in this world.”

He was speaking at the “Prophecy in the News Conference” held by Breaking Israel News, and said, “There can be no prophecy without the Holy Ark playing a central role, and there is an intrinsic connection which cannot be denied.”

He said among the multiple functions for the Ark was to “act as a channel, a type of matrix, between God and man,” the report said.

The Old Testament outlines its construction, of acacia wood about two and a half cubits long, or about four feet. It’s half that wide and half that tall.

“The Ark is where it all began, where prophecy has its roots. We know from the Torah, the Old Testament, as well as other scriptural sources that the highest levels of prophecy simply cannot be reached unless the Ark is found and revealed. At that point it can act as the proper conduit it was intended to be,” he said.

He continued, in Breaking Israel News, “In fact, all prophetic inspiration actually runs via and between the two Cherubim (angelic figures) that are on top of the cover of the Ark, just like when Moses originally stood at the entrance of the Tabernacle to receive prophecy that issued forth from the Ark.”

He said God’s word comes down to the Temple’s Holy of Holies between the Cherubim, and then to those receiving it, Moses or another prophet.

He says timing supports that concept, pointing out at the BIN conference that as soon as the Ark was in the Holy of Holies in Solomon’s Temple, prophecy “greatly increased in the world.”

The report estimates there were more than a million prophets at the time.

That all ended, he said, “when the Ark was hidden in its secondary chamber, directly underneath the Holy of Holies, where it is to this day.”

He said the Ark then was “hidden off-site” and “this has lasted until today when we no longer have prophecy.”

BIN reported, “There are many levels of prophecy and Divine inspiration. ‘Because, today, there seems to be an increase of claims from people who appear to have prophetic abilities, this may be a sign that prophecy will indeed return to the world,’ suggested Moskoff. ‘This will ultimately be confirmed with the arrival of Elijah the Prophet, whose mission is to announce the coming of the Messiah, restore peace between father and son as well as between tribe and tribe, and also to bring back the missing Temple vessels, including the Ark itself.'”

Moskoff suggests the rising level of prophecy even now suggests the location of the Ark soon will be revealed.
