There’s finally real evidence in the big Russia scandal, and rather than implicating President Trump, it shows the Clintons and former President Obama colluded with Russia to sell American uranium and, in doing so, compromised U.S. national security.
That’s why Special Counsel Robert Mueller is on the case, according to talk-radio kingpin Rush Limbaugh.
Mueller is actually working to protect top Democrats who were involved in the scandalous uranium deal, Limbaugh said during his Monday show.
“I have a whole theory about what the Mueller investigation really is …” Limbaugh said. “[O]ne of the objectives of the Mueller investigation is to protect anybody and everybody that had anything to do with this Clinton-Obama-Russian uranium deal.”
The whole investigation led by Mueller – the man who served as FBI director during the agency’s Russian uranium probe – is not just an effort to “find anything impeachable on Trump,” he explained.
“I think that they’re taking advantage of the opportunity to shield and prevent any investigation or knowledge of what really went on, because that uranium thing, we’ve all, up ’til now, considered it a Hillary and Bill Clinton and Russian deal where the Clintons personally profited from brokering the sale of a percentage of our uranium supply to Russia. … None of it could have happened without the involvement of Obama, and so you couple that with the inescapable conclusion that the collusion story has moved off of Trump colluding with Russia.”
After many months, Limbaugh noted, “they don’t have a shred of evidence on Trump” to show he colluded with Russia in an effort to influence the 2016 election.
“When I learned that they were looking 10 to 15 years back into Trump’s business history, things that have nothing to do with him as a candidate for anything or as president – and knowing that these are all swamp dwellers, they’re all establishment types, and [Mueller] has got 16 Clintonistas and Obamaistas on his staff – it was paramountly obvious. It was manifest that this guy was doing the work of the establishment to get rid of Trump or to try to,” Limbaugh continued.
“There’s no evidence on this Russia collusion thing. There isn’t any, after all of this. And believe me, if there were, it have been leaked the day they found it. There isn’t any, and yet they’re still out there looking.”
The Daily Caller reported in September that at least nine attorneys on Mueller’s team have given Democrats nearly $65,000 in contributions.
In June, President Trump weighed in on the conflicting interests, tweeting: “You are witnessing the single greatest WITCH HUNT in American political history – led by some very bad and conflicted people!”
Limbaugh claimed even the FBI’s pre-dawn raid on the home of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort in August was a telling display of “Obamaista” tactics meant to “scare the hell out of everybody in the family.”
“I have since learned that that is a technique of one of the investigators on Mueller’s staff [Andrew Weissmann] who is a dyed-in-the-wool Obamaista, I think, and a prosecutor,” he said. “[I]t’s one of his favored intimidation techniques to storm a subject’s house while everybody is asleep with the equivalent of a SWAT team, which is how they went into Manafort’s house.”
FEC records reveal Weissmann donated $2,300 to Obama’s 2008 campaign and $2,000 to the Democratic National Committee in 2006. As a federal prosecutor in the eastern district of New York for 15 years, Weissmann prosecuted mafia members and bosses from the Colombo, Gambino and Genovese families, according to Business Insider.
In a National Review column Saturday, former top federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy pointed the finger directly at the Obama administration’s role in the uranium scandal:
The Clintons were just doing what the Clintons do: cashing in on their “public service.” The Obama administration, with Secretary Clinton at the forefront but hardly alone, was knowingly compromising American national-security interests. The administration green-lighted the transfer of control over one-fifth of American uranium-mining capacity to Russia, a hostile regime — and specifically to Russia’s state-controlled nuclear-energy conglomerate, Rosatom. Worse, at the time the administration approved the transfer, it knew that Rosatom’s American subsidiary was engaged in a lucrative racketeering enterprise that had already committed felony extortion, fraud, and money-laundering offenses.
The Obama administration also knew that congressional Republicans were trying to stop the transfer. Consequently, the Justice Department concealed what it knew. DOJ allowed the racketeering enterprise to continue compromising the American uranium industry rather than commencing a prosecution that would have scotched the transfer. Prosecutors waited four years before quietly pleading the case out for a song, in violation of Justice Department charging guidelines. Meanwhile, the administration stonewalled Congress, reportedly threatening an informant who wanted to go public.
As WND reported Monday, Mueller’s probe has reportedly expanded to the Democratic lobbying firm run by Tony Podesta, the brother of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign manager John Podesta. Also Monday came news that an FBI informant was blocked from testifying of Russian efforts to influence the Clintons and the Obama administration regarding the sale of Uranium One to a Moscow-controlled company, which effectively gave the Russians control of 20 percent of U.S. uranium reserves.
The Podesta Group has a tie to Uranium One, having received $180,000 from the company to lobby Hillary Clinton’s State Department, according to Open Secrets. The New York Times reported in April 2016 that “as the Russians gradually assumed control of Uranium One in three separate transactions from 2009 to 2013, Canadian records show, a flow of cash made its way to the Clinton Foundation.”
On Monday, Limbaugh pointed to Sunday’s “misleading” New York Times headline “Hope dims for congressional Russia inquiries as parties clash,” charging that the mainstream media “have a vested interest in the outcome of this, since it’s their buddies – Obama, Mueller, the Clintons – involved in this.”
“They’re trying to tell us that the Russia investigation in Congress is in trouble because the parties are clashing,” he explained. “That’s not why it’s in trouble. It’s in trouble because there is dwindling hope of finding any evidence of collusion, because there isn’t any of collusion between Trump and Russia. I think they’re finding something else, or I think they’ve known about something else before they even started this. I’m beginning to think that one of the reasons that this whole special counsel was named …
“Because [Deputy Attorney General Rod] Rosenstein is involved in it, and Mueller is involved in it and [former FBI Director] James Comey. There’s some other people involved in this whole Clinton-Obama-Russia uranium thing. That’s the real collusion. The idea that 20 percent of America’s uranium ends up in Russian hands going through middlemen associated with the Clinton Foundation, donors, this clown in Canada? And there had been collusion – and during the Obama administration – for this to have happened. I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if one of the things being done is to cover all of that up with this investigation.”
After Mueller left his position as FBI director in 2013, Comey took over the Russia uranium case. He is now a key witness. And Rosenstein, then-U.S. attorney, supervised the case.
Limbaugh also addressed the uranium scandal during his Oct. 20 show, accusing Democrats of attempting to cover up the “fusion collusion.”
He asked his audience: “Do you think Donald Trump would be impeached if he had received millions of dollars from Putin front groups, if he had given away uranium, if he had shut up a whistleblowing FBI agent, and if he had colluded with Republican opposition research companies? Do you think Trump would be impeached?”
Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton has been busy blaming President Trump and Fox News, claiming controversy surrounding the uranium deal with Russia has been “debunked”:
She told C-Span: “I would say it’s the same baloney they’ve been peddling for years, and there’s been no credible evidence by anyone. In fact, it’s been debunked repeatedly and will continue to be debunked.
“But here is what they are doing and I have to give them credit. Trump and his allies, including Fox News, are really experts at distraction and diversion. So the closer the investigation about real Russian ties between Trump associates and real Russians, as we heard Jeff Sessions finally admit to in his testimony the other day, the more they want to just throw mud on the wall. I’m their favorite target. Me and President Obama, we are the ones they like to put in the crosshairs.”
