Israeli military commanders soon will have a new weapon in their efforts to handle violence and defend their borders.

Personal drones.

Israel-based ILTV reported the tiny Middle East democracy has decided to allocate every commander in the Israel Defense Forces their own, private, eye in the sky.

There are two sizes being issued, with the smaller only about one and a half pounds, and fitting in a pouch that can be worn on a leg.

The Jerusalem Post reported earlier this month the nation is unprepared for domestic drone attacks.

State Comptroller Joseph Shapira warned that the IDF “has not developed a complete response” and “needs to immediately carry out more preparatory work,” the report said.
