A firefighter says he is in hot water with his department after his supervisors noticed his anti-Obama bumper stickers and banned him from parking inside the firehouse based on his political views.

"It's freedom of speech as far as I'm concerned," Hartford, Conn., firefighter Mike Di'Giacomo told WFSB-TV. "This is my personal vehicle."

Di'Giacomo has worked for the fire department for 10 years. He said a supervisor noticed his stickers and told him he could not park his SUV inside the firehouse, something his fellow firefighters are allowed to do.

The bumper stickers read:

"Somewhere in Kenya, a village is missing its idiot."

"I'll keep my guns, freedom, & money ... you can keep the 'change!'"

"Obama Bin Lyin'. Impeach Now!"

"He (Di'Giacomo's supervisor) said that the union, corporation counsel and downtown were all in agreement that I could not park inside of the firehouse anymore," Di'Giacomo explained. "However, I spoke to the union president this morning and said he was not aware of any such agreement and that I was welcome to come down and file a grievance, which I will do."

The Hartford Police Department declined to comment on its purported decision to ban Di'Giacomo's vehicle from the firehouse.

Di'Giacomo told WFSB-TV he is refusing to remove the stickers, regardless of the chief's reasoning behind the decision.
