"When Hell Was In Session," the story of Jeremiah Denton's eight years of abuse, neglect and torture as a "guest" of the "Hanoi Hilton" during the Vietnam War and his warning about nations that lose their moral footing has reached No. 1 among best-sellers at the WND Superstore.

Denton, the senior American officer to serve as a Vietnam POW, writes of his amazing story as a captive.

In 1966, he appeared on a television interview from prison and blinked the word "torture" in Morse Code, confirming to the world that atrocities were taking place in the "Hanoi Hilton."

When he stepped off the airplane that returned him to America, he said, "We are honored to have had the opportunity to serve our country under difficult circumstances. We are profoundly grateful to our commander in chief and to our nation for this day. God bless America."

The historic book takes readers behind the closed doors of the Vietnamese prison to see how Denton and his men fought back against all odds and against all kinds of evil.

After his release, he was promoted to rear admiral and in 1980 was elected to the U.S. Senate, where he worked with President Reagan to fight communism in Latin America.

The book, newly updated, takes readers through his prison experience and, on his return to the U.S., his shock at the decline in morality.

It details his showdown with communist leaders in Nicaragua where he told them bluntly this was not Vietnam and President Reagan was not President Johnson, his meeting with Reagan to propose a strategy for Nicaragua, which later was adopted, and words for today's America about what awaits if it does not return to its moral foundation.

In second place is "A Nation Adrift", a DVD by Brian Barkley that documents American freedom and how God's sovereign hand guided its founders.

"'A Nation Adrift' takes you on a journey – from Christopher Columbus to Jamestown, from Valley Forge to the Constitutional Convention, from the Civil War to the Industrial Revolution, from the First World War to the Stock Market Crash, from FDR to the present," says Barkley, the producer.

"Our journey will give a basic grasp of God's sovereign hand behind the history of our nation, which our founding fathers so clearly understood. The result of this journey will give us a better understanding of where America is today, how she arrived here, and where she must turn at this critical hour," he said.

The newly updated version now also includes several topics such as "gay rights" and abortion, and a tribute to President Reagan.

In third place is the "Say Merry Christmas" Pin.

Ideal as a stocking stuffer, to pass out among friends or to start conversations, it is a way to celebrate the Christmas season.

While opponents of Christianity have worked to eliminate references to Christ from Christmas, the pin encourages mention of the reason society celebrates Christmas.

Put down "political correctness run amok" with this pin from the WND Superstore.
