Dear Mr. Farah,
I read your column “Liberal blind spot on Islam.”
Beside your list, can there be just one more thing that motivates liberals to ignore brutality toward woman, children, homosexuals and minorities in other countries?
NARRATIVE: They need to maintain the “narrative” that “OUR” nation is the problem. WE are intolerant, WE hate woman, WE’RE homophobic, and WE are racist. The liberals cannot admit that our nation is better than most countries, even Islamic nations, in the way we treat women, homose ... continue reading »
I am a Christian, a registered Republican, a supporter of the U.S. Constitution, especially the First and Second Amendments, and love America and the freedom we have. I am also a police officer. I have been in the career for 30 years, 20 years with the Denver Police Department. I have worked the street, been a detective, a bomb dog handler, a bomb technician and a supervisor. I have been punched, kicked, shot at, been spit on, had bottles and rocks thrown at me. I have never shot anyone.
I stumbled onto your website, and after looking it over and over I’m having trouble with the idea of this being a Christian website. There seems to be a lot of hateful articles and a lot of name-calling and judging. It seems to me that if your were a Christian website, you wouldn’t do that. I understand, though, how this world is falling into Satan’s hands, and it looks like he has already gotten to you all.
I’m appalled to read most of your articles. I’m a devote follower of my Lord Jesus Christ, and it shames me to think that you all believe you are Christians also. Please pray to God and ask for forg ... continue reading »
I just read your article about the police use of force in Albuquerque. I am disappointed.
I have lived here since 1964 and have a fair idea of what goes on here.
1) I do not trust the Justice Department’s report. This is the same DOJ who refused to do anything about the Black Panthers in Philly.
2) EVERY time our police use their weapons there are protests. Every time, period. Every criminal has a family member weeping on TV about how innocent and wonderful they were. Meanwhile, the criminal have drugs in their pockets and gu ... continue reading »
I just read your article “Christians go head-to-head over Sabbath.”
I find it a pointless debate. Neither debater shows any understanding of the missiological principle of adapting the practices of the faith to fit with the target audience. We call it a “functional substitute,” and it is practiced by every successful cross-cultural worker. Thus, the entire debate is wasted breath over a matter of small importance. Paul wrote in Colossians that no day is more sacred than another, thus freeing every culture to selected its own day ... continue reading »
You are proud of the “heated debate” and “pointed barbs” between “Christian” scholars? ["Christians go head-to-head over Sabbath"] This is why the world has such a problem with Christians. We can’t agree, we can’t seem to get along, and we aren’t even very nice to each other. What a disgrace that you’re bragging about this. Unsubscribe me immediately.
