In his column, “Lifting gay-blood ban: What about science?,” Carl Jackson stated that gay men donating their blood is like playing Russian Roulette with our lives.
But maybe there’s a solution that will satisfy everyone.
Allow gay men to donate their blood, but put the blood in spiffy, rainbow-colored containers. Then, when people need blood transfusions, the medical aide can ask, “Which container do you want? Regular or rainbow-colored?”
