Today, a day before Memorial Day, I purchased the Winston-Salem Sunday Journal to read with breakfast. Scanning the front page, I saw very few Memorial Day reminders, except for one picture and the top of the page about two best friends buried in Arlington together, but the story was not on the front page and not even in the front section of the paper. It was buried in the back of the paper.
The biggest article on the front page was about a Muslim girl going to the National Spelling Bee contest. I was shocked.
