As a Bible teacher in Atlanta, I want to express my appreciation for Albert Thompson’s article “Christian embassy ‘comforts’ besieged Israel.” It was terrific!
“Comforting” Israel is truly a biblical mandate as is praying for the peace of Jerusalem! ICEJ is dedicated to working in both those arenas. The interview Thompson did with Susan Michael was excellent and covered all the bases, some of which have become controversial even among evangelical Christians. I am happy I am part of an embassy in Jerusalem dedicated to support ... continue reading »
The death of Astronaut Neil Armstrong on Saturday should cause all of us to reflect on the Apollo moon landing and what it said about the American people at the middle of the 20th century.
In 1961, President John Kennedy issued a daunting challenge to the country to “Land a man on the moon and return him safely to the Earth before the end of the decade.” It was a bold challenge, full of optimism and faith.
And Americans responded. The best and brightest of us set about to bring to reality a dream of mankind for thousands of years. And the rest of us enthusiastically cheered them on.
Eight short years later, ... continue reading »
I see no discernible difference between either of them. Mitt’s latest statement of how Congress should not be in control of the monetary system shows he is absolutely oblivious of the Constitution, and anyone that ignorant should not be in charge of running a state, let alone a nation.
I have been observing the platforms of both Romney and Obama, and they are parallel to each other. I will not vote for either one of them. It is a shame more people do not wake up to the facts. Neither party is the right party. Both are heading toward socialism. One is taking the express lane there, and the other party is doing so in small steps ... continue reading »
Obama struts across the stage like John Travolta. He’s got that Saturday night presidential fever. He is so hot within himself that he has narcissistic fever.
I was in Bulgaria in 1972. There were huge posters of their leaders on the roadside. Everyone in the bus hated them. Liberal communist philosophy had destroyed the country. An old woman next to me was crying, “What have they done to my country?”
Obama is a marionette. He dances on the stage, hanging from the twine of his own conceit. The fingers of the Democratic ideology play him like a mindless doll. Here comes the great puppeteer – Saul Alinsky. A ... continue reading »
If Israel has to defend itself simultaneously from mass rocket attack from Iran, Lebanon and Gaza, and Israel runs out of ammunition, will America open its six secret bases in Israel to help supply the Jewish state with fresh stock?
U.S. bases in Israel contain ammunition, smart bombs, missiles, an assortment of military vehicles and a military hospital with 500 beds.
Ariel Sharon, as Israeli defense minister in the early 1980s, was the first to conceive the idea of American emergency reserve depots in Israel. The U.S. has similar reserves elsewhere, including (according to some reports) Saudi Arabia, the Ras Banas port in Eg ... continue reading »
I read your piece on the upcoming strike on Iran by Israel. Your piece is one I could have written myself. I read your arguments, and I agree with them all.
I have a little twist. I believe President Obama will be the one who encourages the strike, if not leads it. He will use military conflict as a way to secure his re-election, if that is the only way he feels he can get re-elected. I think President Obama would lose no sleep over ordering a strike on Iran to ensure his re-election. The American people need to be prepared for this, and ... continue reading »
