The 2014 elections are nearly on us, and three of the most important topics have hardly been covered – at least not in a way voters can tell whom to vote for.
Using the White House OMB Historical Table 1.1, we find we’ve only had five budget surpluses since 1965. Matching those results with who controlled the House when the budget was passed, we find the last time congressional Democrats were responsible for a surplus was 1969. They’ve been responsible for 30 of the last 45 budgets, all finishing with deficits. And they continue to fight any attempt to bring spending under control while calling for more spending!
For decades, climate alarmists have been attempting to trigger global cooling through various means. It seems they may have succeeded as Antarctica now has an expanding fringe of sea ice that recently reached an all-time high.
Where are the environmentalists raising alarms about pooped penguins at the edge of survival, trudging extra mile after mile across the frozen Antarctic sea ice to reach open water? And who is preparing to protect the native penguins of Chile when feral Emperor penguins start walking onto Cape Horn? Seems like the Greens have goofed again.
We see articles about improving public schools and having prayer in public schools.
I think we are on the wrong subject. The question we need to get to is not whether we should have prayer in public schools; the question we need to address is whether we should have public schools in the first place!
I believe that our country took a sharp left turn in the late 19th century in regard to education. Mr. Farah, I prefer getting right to the point with the media [“Help me rename ‘mainstream media'”]. They are liars, they fabricate, they “massage” the truth, and, like the Nazi media of World War II, they refuse to tell the truth! So, in my own vernacular, I refer to them as, “the Mainstream Liars!”
