Ex–PLO member Walid Shoebat on Fox News |
Walid Shoebat, who famously turned from a life of terror supporter with the PLO to Christian activist, says the United States has the knowledge and ability to deal with global terror threats but deliberately is choosing not to take that road.
WND reported just days ago when Shoebat warned that the U.S. needs to be watching the actions not of Iran or Syria but of NATO member Turkey to see the foreshadowings of what could be the next Islamic empire.
In the second part of the interview, Shoebat told WND that the U.S. has the capability to crack down but simply refuses to acknowledge the infiltration into the U.S. of Muslim Brotherhood violence.
"The solution lacks the confession first," Shoebat said. "The problem is 'Why is the Islamist arising and wanting to rule the world?'

"We have to be willing to ask the right questions first and be willing to answer the right questions. We have to first be willing to recognize that the country has a problem," he said.

"We have to first honestly answer the questions: Is Islam a peaceful religion? Is Islam reviving itself? Once we understand the problem that this is a cultlike process that indoctrinates masses in order to establish an Islamic hegemony in which all non-Muslim nations are subservient to Islam, we recognize that, then we can deal with it the same way we dealt with Nazism," Shoebat said.
"It's not that difficult to deal with it now. We can have Israel destroy Hezbollah and Hamas. We can stop this whole media thing about civilian casualties and this and that.
"The United States of course can stop issuing visas to people from countries that support terrorism. We can stop immigration from Islamic countries that support terrorism. We can protect our borders and keep our presence in the Gulf region," Shoebat said.
Get the inside story on the clash over freedom, get "God's War on Terror."
"That's the road to victory, but we have not done any of these things. In fact we've done the opposite. We are talking about pulling our troops from the region; we say Islam is a peaceful religion," he said.
In the first part of the interview, Shoebat warned that Turkish leaders have been talking about the rise of the Muslim world – all 1.5 billion people.
"This is scary. Turkey rules only 70 million people so why are they talking about 1.5 billion Muslims?" wondered Shoebat, who has written "For God or For Tyranny: When Nations Deny God's Natural Law" as well as "God's War on Terror."
But Shoebat explained it was Turkey that "lost the power of Islam" when following World War I the caliphate was dissolved and a secular Turkey established. He also explained that while that occurred in 1924, it was just a few years later, 1928, when the Muslim Brotherhood was organized in Turkey.
He attributes to the Muslim Brotherhood and its descendants virtually all of the Islamic terror inflicted worldwide today.
Shoebat said the current questions include such issues as whether Osama bin Laden is a proper representative of Islam.
"There was some confusion, but Osama bin Laden hasn't hijacked Islam; he is using nothing but Islam. There needs to be that recognition in this country in order to combat this issue," he said.
He's alarmed not only about a president not standing up for his own nation and freedom but also demonstrating subservience.
"It's not just Obama bowing to the Saudi king, but Obama coming out of Turkey and not reminding the Turks of their responsibility in the Armenian genocide. Of course there's the legislation that the Congress tried to pass here, and Hillary Clinton objecting to the legislation. It's going to Egypt and not telling the Egyptians that they need to dismantle the Muslim Brotherhood," he said.
He said both Presidents Bush and Obama made a mistake.
"It's our insistence that Islam is a peaceful religion and Obama saying that the most beautiful sound in the world is the evening Muslim call to prayer," he said. "Then he's telling the Muslim community in the United States that he wants to establish zakat. Americans hear the word zakat and they don't know what that is.
"That is establishing the Islamic welfare system in accordance to the Islamic Shariah law. Zakat is what Osama bin Laden used for jihad. He used zakat. So, we're talking about many things that Obama did. Obama seems to be doing the bidding for the Islamic world in a major way that Americans have not awakened to," Shoebat said.
"Obama is … sending a delegate to the OIC, the Organisation of the Islamic Conference. This is the council that wants to try people like Geert Wilders and possibly me, to put us on a mock trial in the Middle East and execute us," he warned. "How is it productive for a United States president to be telling the Organisation of the Islamic Conference that we accept you as a United States of Islam. I thought we accepted these countries as secular countries, yet we're dealing with them under the umbrella of Islam," he said.
That further is a mistake, because it gives Islamic nations recognition as an Islamic empire.
"This is a huge mistake," Shoebat said.
He recalled Obama's "slip of the tongue" during his presidential campaign when he referred to 57 states.
"That could be the slip of the tongue, but there's 57 Muslim states. There's not 57 American states. He says, 'My Islamic faith,' which could be a slip of the tongue. But there are issues that I can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that were not a slip of the tongue. He says that the Muslim call to prayer is the most beautiful thing he's ever heard. His criticism of the Bible," Shoebat cited.
"In fact, this is a question [for] every American. Can anybody in the United States [cite] a single statement Obama has made where he is critical of Islam, a religion that he supposedly has left," Shoebat wondered.
"He claimed to have converted to Christianity. We have a right to ask for his testimony. Where is that testimony of a conversion from Islam? Surely it will show his dissatisfaction from his previous faith. Yet after his supposed conversion to Christianity, we don't see any dissatisfaction with his Muslim faith. We see the opposite," Shoebat said.
"We see his elation and his love for the Muslim faith. This is the problem. He's nothing but critical of the Bible. He goes after the Beatitudes, the Sermon on the Mount, the book of Deuteronomy and the Constitution. And he compliments the Quran. He compliments the call to prayer," Shoebat said.
"What is the call to prayer? It's Allah is great. Allah is great, that's the very sentence the jihadists call out when they kill Americans," he said.
"So why would Obama claim he converted to Christianity when he says the most beautiful thing he's ever heard is the statement of faith of Islam?"
