Found! The reason for liberalism

A doctor who is certified both in general and forensic psychiatry and has diagnosed and treated mental disorders for more than 40 years now has revealed, in his new book, "The Liberal Mind," the real reason for liberalism, and it is this week's top pick at Shop.WND.com.

Dr. Lyle H. Rossiter Jr. says the reason modern liberals think and act as they do is psychopathology.

Rossiter's analysis discusses modern liberalism's assaults on the freedom of adults to make good lives for themselves by cooperating with others, the ability of families to raise children to be self-reliant and mutual and the morals, rights and laws that protect our freedoms.

"Modern liberalism's irrationality can only be understood as the product of psychopathology," he concludes. "So extravagant are the patterns of thinking, emoting, behaving and relating that characterize the liberal mind that its relentless protests and demands become understandable only as disorders of the psyche."

The book reveals the "madness" of the modern liberal for what it is: "a massive transference neurosis acted out in the world's political arenas, with devastating effects on the institutions of liberty."

"This book is the first systematic analysis of the political madness that now threatens to destroy the West's greatest achievement: the American dream of civilized liberty," the description notes.

In second place this week is "The Late Great USA (DVD)," which lays out before your very eyes the evidence of a faltering United States that is being pushed ever so persistently towards a North American Union.

In his New York Times best-selling book of the same name, author Jerome Corsi reveals the "bureaucratically entrenched army" that is working to push the United States into a European Union-style merger in North America.

Now he uses this video to explain, and show, how this is happening, including details on globalist business leaders and taxpayer-funded academics who are deliberately side-stepping the U.S. Constitution, as well as Congress, to submerge the U.S. into a regional government, actions that some describe as treason.

He also tells how, as part of the overall plan, the state of Texas is seizing millions of acres of private land so foreign investors can cash in on a NAFTA "superhighway" intended to run from Mexico to Canada.

He also reveals how China, through its proxies in Mexico, plans to bring the world's sole superpower to its knees economically – without firing a shot.

"In the brave new world they envision, the U.S. will no longer be a sovereign nation, but a market designed for maximum economic exploitation by multinational corporations and foreign governments, regardless what American citizens want," he describes.

In third place is "Rebuilding America" by John Kenneth Blackwell and Jerome R. Corsi.

They report how in 1965 President Lyndon Johnson launched the War on Poverty as a centerpiece of the Great Society's effort to eliminate poverty in America. But 40 years and many trillions of dollars later, poverty in America has increased despite the efforts of the largest governmental welfare system ever created in human history.

The authors, in direct challenge to the liberal political thinking that built the welfare state, have developed a blueprint for a new War on Poverty. Only they use an innovative approach to mobilizing urban capital to strengthen African American families, build wealth through meaningful employment among those now in poverty, and develop America's urban landscape without imposing additional tax burdens on Americans.

"Rebuilding America directly attacks the problems of African American poverty, arguing that abortion and AIDS threaten to inflict genocide upon black communities unless we find a way to utilize urban capital to end the welfare dependency that threatens the survival of the African American family," is how the book's mission is described.

Blackwell and Corsi argue that, after four decades of failure of the welfare state, it should be phased out through applying new techniques of public finance, so that financial institutions deploy new capital into rebuilding cities.
