Useful white idiots

Though the term "useful idiots" has been attributed to Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, this is not agreed upon by political historians. What is certain is that the common usage is that of a descriptor for Marxist sympathizers in the West and the amused derision said Marxists hold for people foolish enough to claim solidarity with those who would subjugate them.

One might say there is a great deal of honesty in the derivation; Old World Marxists such as Lenin made no bones about the fact that their goals were self-serving despite the altruistic face they put before their methodology.

Sound familiar?

According to U.S. Census records, the white population of the United States still outnumbers all other ethnic groups combined. If Sen. Barack Obama is elected President of the United States, it will be largely by whites.

Although one cannot quantify this factor, there is likely a certain romantic novelty among white liberals and certain Independent voters relative to the idea of electing America's "first black president." Given the disinformation that abounds, these probably see Obama as no more potentially injurious to our nation in the long term than was Bill Clinton.

Remembering the past

Informed observers occasionally become annoyed when Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party are used as object lessons when the severity of the example might be a stretch. The fact is, however, that while Hitler did not tout the more extreme points of his agenda to the German people during his rise to power, the evidence (such as his earlier writings) was certainly there.

For the past 20 years, Barack Obama has been a member of a racist, anti-American church. There is no debating this. The controversial rhetoric employed by Rev. Jeremiah Wright (to which the candidate claims he was never exposed despite it being a key element thereof) and Trinity United's new pastor, Otis Moss III, is integral to the twisted doctrine known as Black Liberation Theology. It is no more likely that Obama was ignorant of its bigoted core than a Catholic of 20 years' church attendance would be ignorant of the Eucharist.

That's the ticket!

Even the establishment press cannot ignore the plethora of gaffes and rhetorical inaccuracies Sen. Obama has executed in the past few weeks alone. What truly disturbs is the proportion of those that have proven to be abject fantasy. From his unproven claim of having served as a constitutional law professor at the University of Chicago to his bizarre account of a black man maiming himself with chemicals trying to make his skin white in a nonexistent Life magazine article he allegedly read as a child, Obama resembles Jon Lovitz's "Pathological Liar" from "Saturday Night Live" more each day.

Similar questionable anecdotes have been revealed in his books, "Dreams from My Father" and "The Audacity of Hope." White or not, only a fool would fail to overlook all of this in light of Obama's declarations regarding his faith.

Sen. Obama has been lauded for not playing the race card in his quest for the presidency. This columnist submits that he has very subtly and shrewdly done so by way of discerning what he could and could not successfully bring off as a black candidate given the existing social sensitivities and political climate.

While we have a black man running for the highest office in the land, a proliferation of black pundits has flooded the airwaves, railing about massive institutional racism in America and going unchallenged by puppet hosts. Babbling, racist idiots with degraded credentials such as Dr. Boyce Watkins spew ad hominem attacks like a drunken duck hunter with mad cow disease might spray buckshot. The newfound notoriety of Black Liberation Theology has revealed a viper's nest of repellent "pastors" who subvert black Americans' faith for profit.

Clutching the race card with a death grip, it can only be presumed that such marginal beings (who are no doubt being given liberal media exposure by design) will enjoy greater prominence and influence should Obama become president.

These dregs, with whom Obama seems to identify, represent a clear and present danger to the domestic tranquility of our nation, which can only be ameliorated by white and black Americans who see the truth and are willing to stand unafraid against the calumnies and immature invective of their errant black neighbors.

The phrase "testicular fortitude" comes to mind. I hope that most readers will appreciate the challenge this represents despite my having avoided the vernacular.
