A Florida police officer has been fired for Tasering a 15-year-old boy at a birthday party where alcohol had been served and the whole incident was caught on video tape.

Eustis Police Department rookie Dan NeSmith, 22, admitted he used poor judgment when he Tasered a boy named Taylor Davis, according to an ABC News report. A crowd cheered while a person at the party recorded the officer using a stun gun on the boy.

Prosecutors said they may charge the ex-cop with a second-degree misdemeanor for serving alcohol at a party for minors.

According to the report, Eustis Police Chief Fred Cobb said there were about 20 minors who had access to alcohol at NeSmith's home. The officer was hosting a birthday party for a 19-year-old.

"At some point during the party, the topic of the Taser came up and the 15-year-old expressed his desire to be [Tasered]," Cobb told ABC News. "Officer NeSmith opted to show him what it was like."

The boy who asked to be Tasered claims the department overreacted when it fired NeSmith.
