Documents uncovered by WND strongly suggest Barack Obama Sr. and Stanley Ann Dunham, President Obama's parents, did not live at 6085 Kalanianaole Highway in Hawaii – even though birth announcements in local newspapers listed that address.
Both newspapers, the Honolulu Advertiser and the Star Bulletin, carried the announcement about the Aug. 4, 1961, birth. Both included the 6085 Kalanianaole Highway address.
But WND has confirmed that the house at that street number was owned and occupied in 1961 by another longtime resident Hawaiian couple. Moreover, throughout the time he was in Hawaii, Barack Obama Sr. maintained his own separate apartment at 625 11th Ave. in Kaimuki, within walking distance of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he was enrolled for studies in the fall term 1959.

The records from a Honolulu title search, obtained by WND, document 6085 Kalanianaole Highway was purchased in 1958 by Orland Scott Lefforge, a University of Hawaii professor, and his wife/companion Thelma Young, who lived at the property and remained owners into the 1970s.

With Lefforge and Young occupying the main residence at 6085 Kalanianaole Highway in 1961, the only possibility would have been for Barack Obama Sr. to occupy with his wife Ann Dunham Obama and their infant son the small cottage behind the house, a suggestion discussed earlier by the Honolulu Advertiser.
These photographs document the layout of the residence:

Unlike the easy access from the apartment maintained by Barack Obama Sr. on 11th Ave., the property at 6085 Kalanianaole Highway is about seven miles from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, with the university difficult to reach by automobile, especially during morning and evening rush hours.
Further, WND has found no documentary evidence that either Barack Obama Sr. or Ann Dunham owned any automobile in Hawaii in 1961.
According to newspaper death notices published in the Star Bulletin, Lefforge died on July 4, 2007, at the age of 91; Young died June 28, 2008, also at the age of 91.
WND can find no published interviews with Lefforge or Young concerning whether or not the Obama family ever lived on their 6085 Kalanianaole Highway property.
Obama 'mama': 15 days from birth to Seattle class
WND has reported previously that Dunham was registered for college classes in Seattle only 15 days after reportedly delivering her first-born child in Honolulu, according to school records.
WND research supports the conclusion that Dunham left Hawaii to relocate to Seattle within days of her baby's birth to begin night classes at the University of Seattle.
On July 29, the University of Washington e-mailed WND Dunham's grade transcript covering her attendance at the university, specifying that "Ms. Stanley Ann Dunham was enrolled at the University of Washington for: Autumn 1961, Winter 1962, Spring 1962."
The e-mail from the University of Washington registrar did not say Dunham was enrolled in Hawaii for correspondence extension classes she took in Hawaii.
As is clear from the transcript itself, in the autumn term 1961, Dunham took two classes: Anthropology 100, beginning on Aug. 19, 1961 and ending on Dec. 11, 1961; and Political Science 201, beginning on Aug. 19, 1961 and ending on Dec. 12, 1961.
Ann Dunham's University of Washington transcript makes clear she obtained a grade of "A" in Anthropology 100 and a grade of "B" in Political Science 201, making it likely she attended both classes when they began on Aug. 19, 1961.
In the winter term 1962, Dunham took two additional courses: History 478, beginning on Dec. 27, 1961, and ending on March 30, 1962; and Philosophy 120, beginning on Dec. 27, 1961, and ending on March 20, 1962.
All four of these classes are listed in the transcript as University of Washington extension courses.
The transcript also appears to document as a transfer credit from the University of Hawaii the Russian class where Ann Dunham and Barack Obama Sr. allegedly first met.
Even though Dunham was a graduate of Mercer Island High School, a Washington state high school, she did not qualify for in-state resident tuition benefits because she had not resided continuously in Washington since receiving her high school diploma.
The Seattle babysitter recalls Obama 'mama' in evening classes
Mary Toutonghi, the babysitter for Barack Obama Jr., told WND that Dunham was attending night classes at the University of Washington campus.
Toutonghi was managing the house at 516 13th Ave. E. in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle when Ann Dunham moved into the apartments on the first floor above the garage.

Toutonghi told WND that she did not remember exactly when Dunham and her infant son moved in but she commented that Dunham took courses in the evening at the University of Washington.
"Most of the courses at the university that Ann attended started around 4:30 in the afternoon," she said.
A discrepancy in Toutonghi's statements has lent some confusion to the exact dates during which she babysat for Barack Obama Jr.
Toutonghi told both WND and the Seattle Chat Club blog that she babysat for Barack Obama Jr. when her daughter was 18 months old and that her daughter had her 50th birthday 'this year.'
That would have placed the babysitting around February or March 1961, several months before Barack Obama Jr. was born.
Toutonghi also recalled that she babysat for Barack Obama Jr. when he was 7 months old, which would have placed the time frame around February or March 1962, making this the more reliable recollection.
When WND questioned Toutonghi not about the relation of her own daughter's age to the babysitting she did, but about the months she babysat for Barack Obama Jr., she responded that the babysitting occurred in the spring of 1962, just before her husband bought a house and their family moved out of the 516 13th Ave. E. address in Seattle's Capitol Hill area.
The Polk 1961-1962 directory also listed Dunham at the Capitol Hill address, supporting the conclusion she moved to Seattle to attend the extension classes.

The Obama 'mama' timeline
In deciding to take her child and move to Seattle, Ann Dunham abandoned her husband, who stayed behind in Hawaii, evidently to continue his studies at the University of Hawaii.
This now-documented account of President Obama's birth timeline differs dramatically from the narrative the president told in his autobiography "Dreams From My Father."
In that book, President Obama claimed his mother remained with him in Hawaii until 1962 when supposedly Barack Obama Sr. made the decision to abandon Ann Dunham and Barack Obama Jr. in Hawaii because Harvard did not provide sufficient funds for him to take his family with him to Cambridge, Mass., to begin his studies at Harvard in September 1962.
Ann Dunham's transcript from the University of Washington in Seattle shows she continued to take classes there through the spring term 1962, which suggests that Ann Dunham not only abandoned Barack Obama Sr. in Hawaii, but also that she remained in Seattle to continue her studies there well into 1962.
More of the University of Washington's records regarding Ann Dunham |
Stuart Lau, registrar at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, confirmed to WND that Ann Dunham attended the fall term 1960 and did not resume studies at that university until the spring term 1963.
Lau also confirmed to WND that Barack Obama Sr. attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa from the fall term 1959 through the spring term 1962.
These college registration dates support the conclusion that Ann Dunham and Barack Obama Sr. never lived together as man and wife after the birth of Barack Obama Jr., on Aug. 4, 1961.
The documentation WND has so far obtained permits the follow birth timeline for President Obama:
