Jim Kouri is the fifth vice president of the National Association of Chiefs of Police.

He has done monumental research on Sen. Barack Obama's friend, former Weather Underground terrorist leader William Ayers – who escaped at least life in prison because of what the court found as prosecutorial misconduct.

On Aug. 31, just after the Democratic National Convention had adjourned with no apparent concern about terrorist Ayers, Kouri wrote the following for The Conservative Voice:

While the likes of the New York Times, Washington Post, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and other news organizations have their reporters digging for dirt on Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin, John McCain's choice for vice president, their savior-in-waiting, Barack Obama, is getting a free ride at the expense of the truth.

It's no secret that the denizens of America's newsrooms want Obama sitting in the Oval Office, but Americans are being purposely duped by the Democratic National Committee's volunteer publicists, formerly known as the mainstream news media.

If it weren't for talk radio and the blogosphere, even what is known about Obama and his friend, former Weather Underground domestic terrorist and leader William Ayers, would only be a paragraph or two in the back pages of most newspapers, or a sentence or two on most TV and radio news programs.

On Friday night, one of America's top talk show hosts – who happens to be an attorney and worked in the Reagan Justice Department as chief of staff – recited a list of terrorist acts that would elicit envy from Osama bin Laden. Mark Levin had his listeners glued to their radios or PCs as he read the résumé of a man who should be serving life in prison instead of enjoying a tenured professorship at a major university and entertaining a possible U.S. president in his home.

As I write this résumé of a terrorist, I find it difficult to understand how a man who is running for president of the United States would even know someone as anti-American and destructive as William Ayers. Plus, Ayers, his wife and their comrades at the Weather Underground are cop-killers. And Obama doesn't just know him personally – he's a close friend of Ayers.

With that, Mr. Kouri lists dates and places of no less than 25 bombings by Mr.Ayers' Weather Underground – including their bombing of the San Francisco Police, the Detroit Police, the National Guard, New York City Police headquarters, San Francisco's Presidio Army Base, Marin County, Calif., Courthouse, the United States Capitol building, the Pentagon, the California attorney general's office, the U.S. Department of State and corporate headquarters of ITT, Gulf Oil and Anaconda Copper.

The Weather Underground also staged the 1981 Brink's robbery near Nyack, N.Y., in which they murdered two police officers and one Brink's guard.

National Review noted:

Bill Ayers is an unrepentant terrorist responsible for various bombings. He is also a friend of Barack Obama, who now dismisses Ayers as just 'some guy who lives in my neighborhood' – albeit a guy who, along with his wife and fellow Weather Underground terrorist Bernardine Dohrn, hosted Obama's political coming-out party at their home in 1995. In fact, Obama and Ayers had a close working relationship. They sat together on the board of the Woods Fund, a left-wing charity, and collaborated on an education "reform" project called the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, begun in 1995 when an Ayers proposal won a huge foundation grant. Ayers ran the CAC's operational arm; Obama chaired the board. Together, they were responsible for distributing over $100 million – with no discernible improvement in Chicago's schools but great advantage for their ideological allies. This summer, after being assured of access, frequent National Review contributor Stanley Kurtz was barred from reviewing the CAC records housed at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Suppose Barack Obama is elected president? Has anybody heard him guarantee that his friend, unimprisoned terrorist Ayers, will not become a member of the Obama administration?
