Landen Capital Returns 1.95% Nickel, 1.95% Copper, 0.07% Cobalt, 1.5 gpt Palladium, 0.13 gpt Platinum and 0.27 gpt Gold over 17.6 m at its Poly-Metallic Samapleu Project in Cote d'Ivoire

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 05/31/10 -- Landen Capital Corp. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: LAN) is pleased to announce the assay results for the first two holes of the current diamond drill program at its poly-metallic Samapleu project (the "Project"), in Cote d'Ivoire, West Africa. The first hole drilled at the property, SM44-450250, returned a total of 60.7 meters ("m") of material enriched with disseminated, semi-massive and massive sulphide mineralization. Including 17.6m of semi-massive to massive sulphide material grading 1.95% Nickel ("Ni"), 1.95% Copper ("Cu"), 0.07% Cobalt ("Co"), 1.5 gpt Palladium ("Pd"), 0.13 gpt Platinum ("Pt") and 0.27 gpt of Gold ("Au"). Individual assays of up to 5.4% Ni, 8.3% Cu, 3.9 gpt Pd and 2.45 gpt Au were obtained in the assays. Significant mineralization is also present at the bottom contact of the main mineralized zone, within the diorite host, with 0.4m grading 0.54% Ni, 0.52% Cu, 16.9 gpt Pt and 2.46 gpt Au. The mineralized zone is open toward the north and to the northwest.

Due to the poly-metallic nature of the mineralized material, the following additional elements will be assayed: silver (Ag), iridium (Ir), rhodium (Rh) and the entire Rare Earth suite.

The second hole, SM44-517178, drilled 100 meters northeast of the first hole, returned 82.2 meters of disseminated sulphide material within mafic to ultramafic rock grading from 0.13% to 0.35% Ni, 0.15% to 0.65% Cu as well as 0.28 gpt to 0.66 gpt Pd.

"With these excellent results, the Company will focus on increasing the potential resource at the Samapleu poly-metallic project while exploring the newly discovered prospective ground. Combined with the Sipilou South Ni-Co laterite deposit, the Samapleu poly-metallic occurrence will give the Company the opportunity to become a major poly-metallic producer in West Africa," stated Dr. Marc-Antoine Audet, President and CEO of the Company.

Table 1 shows the assay results for the mineralized intersections for the two first holes.

Down-hole geophysics, starting next week, will support the current drill program aimed at delineating the extension of SM44-450250's semi-massive to massive intersection. Down-hole geophysics will also be used to delineate possible additional poly-metallic lenses from the recent exploration holes drilled along the "Samapleu Extension", whereby, disseminated mineralizations were encountered.

The Exploration License hosting the Samapleu poly-metallic occurrence (PR 123) also includes a significant amount of nickel-cobalt rich laterite material, known as the Sipilou South laterite deposit, located 5 kilometers ("km") northwest of Samapleu. Approximately 50% of the Sipilou South nickel-cobalt laterite deposit extends into Exploration License PR123. Laterite material grading between 1.2% to 2.04% Ni and 0.06% to 0.10% Co has been reported from previous works. The author of this press-release and CEO of Landen was the Exploration Manager at Falconbridge's Touba-Biankouma project from 1994 to 1998. He was responsible for all drill programs at the Sipilou North laterite, Foungouesso and all the other satellite laterite deposits within the project area, including the 1996 drilling at the Sipilou South deposit. Preparation by the Company is ongoing for a first stage laterite drilling program on an 800m x 400m grid.

Eleven (11) drill holes have been completed since the beginning of the drilling program for a total of 2,100m. During the month of May, several holes were drilled to test favorable hosts for similar mineralization as per the Samapleu poly-metallic occurrence. Each hole intersected mafic to ultramafic material opening up an additional 5 km of prospective ground ENE of the Samapleu occurrence. Three holes are described below:

-- Hole SM24-480735 drilled to test the edge of the combined Induced
Polarization ("IP") and Airborne Electromagnetic ("AEM") anomalies
located 1 km NE of the Samapleu occurrence, intersected 286m of mafic to
ultramafic material. Material with less than 5% disseminated sulphides
has been intersected from 167 to 240m.
-- Hole SM18-650730B drilled 3.8km ENE of Samapleu, intersected 40m of
mafic to ultramafic units mixed with quartzite. Disseminated
mineralization of less than 5% has been encountered.
-- Hole SM19-420430, located 4.5km ENE of the Samapleu occurrence,
intercepted 148m of mafic to ultramafic material with 100m of core
showing disseminated mineralization up to 10%.

Additional line-cutting and ground geophysics (Induced Polarization and Magnetics) is ongoing in order to cover the entire 5km of prospective ground ENE of Samapleu. The possible western extension of the Samapleu occurrence will also be covered with IP and Mag surveys starting June 01, 2010.

The Project is a joint venture amongst the Company's 100% owned subsidiary, SAMA Nickel Corporation ("SAMA") (66 2/3%) and Societe pour le Developpement Minier de Cote d'Ivoire ("SODEMI") (33 1/3%). The Project is located approximately 600 km northwest of Abidjan and encompasses approximately 775 square km. The area has excellent infrastructure with a road network leading to the Project and all required services available in the nearby towns of Man and Biankouma.

Drilling was performed by Orex Africa SARL of Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire. Core logging and sampling were performed by Sama Nickel's facility at Yorodougou village. Sample preparations were performed at Societe Gouesse d'Investissement, de Gestion et d'Entretien des Patrimoines (SOGEGEP's) sample preparation facility in Gouessesso village under Sama Nickel's supervision. Sample pulps were delivered to SGS's facility in Yamoussoukro and then dispatched by SGS directly to their assay laboratory in South-Africa. Quality Assurance and Quality Control (Qa/Qc) procedures are of International standards. A total of 388 Specific Gravity (SG) measurements have been preformed thus far.
