Soaring Crude Oil Prices Send Markets Tumbling
Soaring crude oil prices sparked by continued civil unrest in Libya sent the markets tumbling during the midday with the Dow plunging 111 points to 12,101. Nasdaq plummeted 42 points to 2714.
On the upside
Exelixis (Nasdaq: EXEL) narrowed fourth quarter losses.
A Seeking Alpha article said that Brazilian oil producer Petroleo Brasileiro (NYSE: PBR) will benefit from the crisis in Libya.
