Forbes’ Professional Timing Service, an online investment newsletter focused on precious metals and energy, reiterated its outlook on silver and gold stocks: Goldcorp (GG), Silver Wheaton (NYSE: SLW) and Central Gold Trust (GTU), and predicts gold will hit $1,800 by late this year.
PTS is focused on driving income and capital gains using proven, proprietary timing models for select investments. It has helped its subscribers ride the price of gold 500% higher over the past decade—from $250 an ounce back in 2000 to more than $1,500 today. Its closed precious metal positions have an average gain of 84.6% held for an average of 2.5 years.
Editor Curtis Hesler cautions that stock selection and timing is paramount in a bull market this far along in order to reduce risk and enhance profit.
Goldcorp (NYSE: GG), according to Hesler, is among the industry’s lowest cost producers and thus increases in the price of gold drop virtually to its bottom line. He is not surprised that earnings recently doubled. The most recent issue of PTS details why Goldcorp (GG) is a buy and gives a target price.
Central Gold (AMEX: GTU): This unique closed-end fund carries significantly less risk and, according to Hesler, offers extraordinary profit potential and superior tax benefits over buying ETFs like SPDR Gold Trust (NYSE: GLD). Hesler’s recent issue provides specific guidance on GTU buy pricing.
During the recent silver spike, PTS subscribers closed out of Silver Wheaton (NYSE: SLW) for a 343% gain. After falling some 26%, Hesler expects to shortly advise PTS subscribers to buy this silver stock back again. The most recent issue contains his full SLW analysis.
As a speculative play, Hesler advises putting a few high risk dollars in Toronto-based Minera Andes (MNEAF.OB) explaining that it is an excellent up-and-comer and should prove exciting and profitable.
