Tokyo, Mar 7, 2012 - (JCN Newswire) - Pioneer Corporation has announced, by a resolution of a meeting of its Board of Directors held today, that the Company will pay no year-end dividend for its fiscal year ending March 31, 2012. The decision is attributable to several factors, including the Company's financial position.
Pioneer management considers its dividend policy to be one of its highest management priorities. On the basis of maintaining stable dividends, the Company's policy is to set appropriate dividend payments in light of its financial position, consolidated business results, and other factors.
During fiscal 2012, the Company's business has been greatly affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake and the flooding in Thailand. Going forward, however, we are determined to improve our business performance and achieve early resumption of dividend payments by accelerating our growth strategy.
