A Very Special Place is a mental health practice which provides psychotherapy, stress management, anger management, and entitlement counseling to individuals, families, and groups. Dr. Brown is a licensed psychotherapist in the state of New York with over 20 years of experience in private practice. She possesses extensive expertise in helping individuals, families, and groups deal with issues and conditions of anxiety, stress, phobias, depression, and anger.

During her collegiate career, Dr. Brown earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Master’s degree in Social Work, and a Doctorate in Family and Community Education from Columbia University. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers. Dr. Brown also serves as an Assistant Professor at the Borough of Manhattan Community College and at Metropolitan College of New York.
