At the young age of 27, the author lost his college sweetheart in the ComAir 3272 crash, the only commercial airline crash in the U.S. in 1997. The book "The Road to Recovery" in Spanish is free this Thursday through Saturday the Amazon Kindle store.

At the young age of 27, Rich Nilsen lost his college sweetheart in the ComAir 3272 crash. It was only the commercial airline crash in the United States in 1997 and the first one following the well publicized TWA 800 crash.

Darinda Ogden-Nilsen was the lone flight attendant on the ComAir plane that plummeted in the icy weather of Monroe, Michigan on January 14, killing all 29 aboard. The plane was en route in very poor weather from Cincinnati to Detroit but was in the holding pattern for an extended period of time prior to the fateful event. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) later determined that the probable cause was inadequate standards for icing operations while in flight, specifically the failure of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to establish adequate minimum airspeeds for icing conditions, leading to a loss of control when the airplane accumulated a thin, rough accretion of ice on its lifting surfaces.

In "The Road to Recoverying: Overcoming and Moving Beyond Your Grief" Nilsen discusses how this tragic turn of events changed his life and what steps he took to overcome the loss of his beloved wife of 4 1/2 years.

"This book was written to help anyone who is suffering the loss of a loved one," explained Nilsen. "Going through a tragedy like this is beyond difficult, but with the right advice and the support of the right people, one can learn to live a happy life again."

The grief support guide was originally written back in late 2001 and distributed free to many families of the September 11th tragedy, but has since been updated and released in the latest e-book formats. The book was translated into Spanish earlier this year and that version is available free through the Amazon Kindle Store Thursday through Saturday of this week.

The original "The Road to Recoverying: Overcoming and Moving Beyond Your Grief," is available in all e-book formats through Smashwords, Amazon, and other leading online retailers.
