Staffing and risk consulting services provider Robert Half International Inc. (RHI) late Thursday posted mixed third quarter earnings results.

The Menlo Park, CA-based company reported third quarter net income of $57.7 million, or 41 cents per share, compared with $44.2 million, or 31 cents per share, in the year-ago period.

Revenue rose 4.7% from last year to $1.03 billion.

On average, Wall Street analysts expected a smaller profit of 38 cents per share, albeit on slightly higher revenue of $1.04 billion.

Robert Half shares rose 78 cents, or +3%, in premarket trading Friday.
