Leucadia's earnings per share in the third quarter 2012 were 44 cents as against a loss per share of $1.20 in the third quarter 2011 and a loss of 81 cents in the previous quarter. Results lagged behind the Zacks Consensus Estimate of earnings of $2.03 per share.
