Lowe’s is donating $520,000 to home rehabilitation projects in southern Nevada to address housing needs during the coming cold weather months. The Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation will give $8,000 grants to each of 65 affiliates of Rebuilding Together, a nonprofit that provides weatherization and energy efficiency upgrades for low-income homeowners. Lowe’s has donated $2 million dollars to Rebuilding Together for 2012.

Johnson & Johnson has committed $5 million in product and financial support to Hurricane Sandy relief. The company’s partners include AmeriCares, Save the Children, Heart to Heart International, and Catholic Medical Mission Board. Johnson & Johnson is also working with the Red Cross on a program for its employees to donate to relief efforts, and will match employee donations.
