Hewlett-Packard and SPDR S&P 500 ETF Among Most Active Stocks in NYSE Pre-Market
MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the NYSE were Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) SPDR S&P 500 ETF (NYSEARCA:SPY) and Prudential Financial (NYSE:PRU) as of 9:30 a.m. EST. Investors exchanged 14.4 million shares of Hewlett-Packard which was down $1.62 or 12.18%. Hewlett-Packard announced this morning that software company Autonomy which Hewlett-Packard acquired last year misrepresented its financial performance as the acquisition deal was taking place. Hewlett-Packard will take an $8.8 billion write-down. Investors traded 2.21 million shares of SPDR S&P 500 ETF which was down $0.24 or 0.17%.
