ADT Profits Securely On Analysts' Target, Sales Miss
Security monitoring firm ADT (ADT) met profit expectations in its first earnings report since spinning off from Swiss-based Tyco International (TYC) in the fall. But revenue missed, as higher monitoring rates caused an increase in canceling service. Still it reported a net addition of subscribers and higher average revenue per customer, as more opted for its higher-level "Pulse" service. Shares surged 2.5% intraday Tuesday to 44.21. ADT posted
