Umpqua Holdings Announces Quarterly Dividend, Accelerates Payment

Umpqua Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ: UMPQ), parent company of Umpqua Bank and Umpqua Investments, Inc., today announced that its Board of Directors approved a fourth quarter cash dividend of $0.09 per common share. The dividend is payable on December 28, 2012 to shareholders of record as of December 14, 2012.

“We are accelerating the payment of our fourth quarter dividend from January to December to provide potential benefit to our shareholders for tax purposes,” said Ray Davis, president and CEO of Umpqua Holdings Corporation.
