Dickey's Barbecue in Spokane Open and Smokin' This FridaySpokane, WA  (RestaurantNews.com)  Dickey’s Barbecue Pit will soon be serving authentic pit-smoked barbecue in Spokane. The nation’s largest barbecue franchise currently has five locations in Washington State. The new Spokane location will open for business on Friday, January 18 at 11 a.m., and the first 100 customers will receive a free Pulled Pork Big Barbecue sandwich.

“We both fell in love with the food at Dickey’s,” said franchise owner Dawn Carr who owns and operates this location with Walt Buyea. “After some researching the concept, we were impressed with the history and direction of the brand – we wanted to be a part of this amazing growth story.”

Dawn and Walt own a separate business in the mailing and logistics industry. The barbecue duo is excited to expand their entrepreneurial spirit into a different industry. The restaurant will employ 10-12 people. The new location is in the Wandermere Shopping Center across from Twigs Martini Bar and in front of the Village Centre Cinemas.

“We can’t wait to bring Dickey’s to the Spokane market,” said Buyea. “After we open our first location we are eager to get started on a second location in Washington.”
