Stocks Rebound In Higher Volume; S&P 500 Retakes 1500
Stocks bounced back Tuesday, one day after enduring their worst losses since the Nov. 23 follow-through. The broad indexes erased most of their declines from Monday but not all of the damage, finishing just below Friday's closing prices. The Nasdaq climbed 1.3%, while the S&P 500 rose 1%.
