Deere Sprouts Profit Gain, But Shares Fall On Outlook
Deere & Co. (DE) grew a healthy profit crop in its fiscal first quarter on a 10% jump in revenue of $7.42 billion. Although both earnings and sales topped analyst expectations, shares withered in early Wednesday trading after the company warned that the outlook for early 2013 is clouded by economic uncertainties.
